2009/10 season:

Newcastle United average attendance: 43,383
Sunderland average attendance: 40,355

We were in the Chamionship, you were in the Premier League. Take a look at your own club before you laugh about someone else's :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I think we have a major plum alert!!! Phone the authorities someone.

So 3,000 different. But according to you and your filthy brethren, you're a much bigger club than little old Sunderland?

Shouldn't you have had at least 50,000 no matter where you were in the leagues? Where were the mythical 10,000 on a waiting list?:emoticon-0102-bigsm

And were where the missing 10,000 last weekI N THE PREMIERSHIP ? All on holidays?

Seems my posts are crap but they still stir up little **** munchers like you to try and combat them.:emoticon-0102-bigsm

The 10000 waiting list existed when Robson was manager, I remember my dad sitting on the phone at 9am in the morning on the off chance that we would manage to get a ticket. We will not have a lower attendance than 42000 this year, and it's quite a laugh that our worst attendance would be a brilliant turn out for your lot.

You were top in the Championship its easy to fill your ground when your winning we had bigger attendances under P.Reid in the Championship than 43,000.
I would like to see you struggle for a few years in the Championship and see where your fans go then.
Oh your average gates 1981 16,000 sorry i know thats before the mesiah came (and then walked out on you lol)

I just Love it I just Love it when he went

1996/97, 97/98 and 98/99 were your full seasons with Peter Reid in the Chamionship.

96/97 -Largest: 22512, Average 20974
97/98 -Largest: 41214, Average 34334
97/98 -Largest: 41634, Average 38742

Your highest attendances were below our average, shot yourself in the foot there pal <doh>

We never slate the Toons attendances usually though.

You lot are all 'look at us, full every week, loyalisyt/best fans...'

We are proud to get 40k, it's a non issue to us, you lads getting 42k, a week after the derby, must be a kick in the gnashers.

40,000, without the new wave of fans a few Champions League seasons brings, is a wonderful average.

Now jog on.

What was the percentage of ground filled tough?

Bear in mind, that under Reid the capacity was 41,854.

We also got 40k for a RESERVE fixture yhat season v Toon, and 24k for one vs Liverpool.

Mitchthemackem undermined your argument by saying how you had higher attendances under Peter Reid. Turned out to be wrong but either way it shows that you are bothered by it.

SAFC = Top NE Club.

It will be thus at the end of this season again, as it has for the previous 3 and the filth know it too.

End of debate as I have spoken.

I couldn't give 2 ****s mate.

I know your crowds pre-Keegan, as do you, i constantly give credit to both clubs fans for their support, you lot poke your digs.

Who gives a ****, in the grand scheme?

2 cities, population 300k approx, averaging in excess of 40k, when Brum, for example, population 2million, 2 clubs combined struggle for 60k.

We have a lot to whinge about at our clubs, but both sets of fans are beyond reproach.

Have that for a reasoned statement.

Much more common sense, well done

I dont really give a crap either, but the 96/97 season that you have listed, we were at roker park Capacity 22,500 so in those 3 seasons we virtually filled the ground each season.

fair point, invalid though because that doesn't mean that if it had a 45000 capacity you would of filled it
