What does my head in is the fact that people who stand and sing are seen as trouble makers, some Leazes Enders who moved to the Gallowgate got called 'Leazes scum', that is bang out of order yet nothing has been said about that.

We try and support the team and give them as much support(songs) as possible, but when we are put next to people who just want to moan about the game or discuss their fortnightly camping trip to the lakes whilst NUFC are playing away it is bound to kill the atmosphere.

People who just sit there and don't sing at all have to take the blame for the terrible atmosphere in my eyes. Singing is seen as 'declasse' to some fans at games.

I want to go and back my team, but find myself facing a fight with fellow supporters. We have without doubt one of the worst atmosphere's because of these changes in the Premier League.

As said above, the ones who back the team the most, are the ones being punished. The ones who likely travel to home and away games, spending most of their money on backing NUFC, are seen as trouble makers and are seen to upset other supporters, whilst our aim is to just give 100% backing to the team.

I personally can't stand people who have no emotion at a football game, that is my opinion and I just can't understand the mentality of these people.

Every other club looks after their fans, and at no other club would they split up the best section at the ground.

100% Agreed. Supporting your team is not a crime. Nobody is condoning abusing pensioners (personally think that story has been fabricated by the club to get people on their side).

http://tt9m.tumblr.com/ Brilliant read, sums it up pretty well.

"I can’t even do ‘stand up if you love the toon’ properly now - I’m wracked with self-consciousness about standing up, given it took 40seconds of the new season to be asked not to do so. Peppered around I can see other L7 lads up, defiant, looking at everyone else like they expect the same. There will be hundreds like me in there looking back at these lads, apologetic; we used to be mental, now we’re ****ing sectioned." <-- Especially that!

why didn't the young lad politely offer to swap seats with the granny? he'd be happy standing behind her and she'd be happy with a clear view

something needs to get swapped around somehow, if ashley won't sort it we'll have to do it ourselves.

They moved the 80 year old to another seat in the ground but she stated she was inundated there with swear words by a 19 year old believed to be from the Whitley Bay area.

"It was terrible" she stated, "It was swear here, swear there. At one point he began to shout 'Ashley out...' comments and finished them with '... to Greggs the fat'... well; I won't say that word'.

"A Spanish tourist next to me called him scum and I agreed. He didn't care though and lambasted the foreign visitor with tales of surviving terrorist attacks at the age of twelve" she continued.

The club are looking for the culprit.

brilliant

isnt one of the main selling points to new players the great atmosphere in a years time they won't be able to do this as they will have destroyed this atmosphere.

why has the singing section being removed anyway? Are they making repairs or something? Or are they just being ****s? Ive only been to one home game and that was 3 years ago, so i cant remember much.

I think I might know who it is that they're looking for, is there a reward for turning him in?

And this ladies and gentlemen, is why the signing section shouldn't have moved in the first place.

Nope, they've reallocated it for 18-21 year olds, which in fairness I do agree with, its the cheap seats and should be for younger fans to get into going. Would have been nice to give a block of the Gallowgate to those moving down though.

The noise the fans make helps to motivate the team, so therefore keeping (you noisy lot) together makes sense.

Spasmodic chants from around the ground don't sound anything like a group being together.

Disgrace. Supporters being turned into spectators. Do they really expect an atmosphere while everyone's sat down? The upper tier of the Kop at Elland Road stand 100% of the time at games and don't get any hassle, though the stewarding in the rest of the ground is patronizing and cretinous. It's the football, not the theatre. If you're physically incapable of standing for 90 minutes, go move to a different section. That's my view.

Agree!

I understood why all seaters came in - but I miss the chance to stand, just like some of you. I signed up to the FSF campaign for safe standing areas and I hope this comes to pass for all of us.

I'm not going to comment on abuse etc, but one thing in the chronicle (spit) article was illuminating that they were going to reduce capacity? Thought you already did that for Fulham??

I also find it curious that they'd consider blanket banning 100-150 fans. Surely any of them can just say 'well I asked those around me to sit down but they wouldn't so I had to stand up in order to watch the game I paid (X amount) for'. And it would be true, most likely. Best of luck to any of you who are standing up (literally) to this ****. <ok>
