I laughed when I saw the Newcastle tifo with the Tyne Bridge, represents the club perfectly ...

... had a fortune spent on it, way over budget and a walkover for Sunderland <whistle>
surely they should only show half of it, the other half is in County Durham, well ok a different town. We might not have our own airport, but we have a bridge all to ourselves.

A couple of things to note, as part of my job I have been to Newcastle, Gateshead, Hebburn, Jarrow South Shields and I haven't seen one barcode top since Sunday. I haven't seen a Sunderland one either, that's because we are humble in victory and not because we are a deluded set of arseholes who think football owes us a living. Since they won the Energy Drinks Cup, there have been two mags flying their flags in their gardens in Jarra. I can confirm that one is no longer visible, I will try and report on the other later.

And last summer, this lad was still only seventeen! At that age, I was more concerned about what was for tea, never mind pulling my weight in a massive play of final!

He's going to the top tha lad, clear as a bell. Brilliant attitude to add to his very high level of ability. He'll just get better.

Did he tackle Xhaka as he was about to shoot at the end? <laugh>

He did Xhaka was foaming had a clear shot on his left foot right on the edge of the box. I thought at that point that was our chance. How wrong I was and this little miscommunication will now be forgotten from history forever.

Hell of a tackle mind.

I must admit I was slightly concerned with Rigg and Geertruida against Hall and Barnes who I thought were their biggest threat but those 2 were outstanding. Their best player for months Lewis Hall was shut down by an 18 year old on his 3rd or 4th start in the premiership. As soon as he put in a good clean slide tackle on Hall in the 1st minute I knew my fears were incorrect and we would be alright.

Where did you get that done? If you don't mind me asking. I fancy getting the badge on its own.
Studio 23 on Roker Road, used to be the old Roker Pie shop, Reg did mine he is very good and quick, did all that in one session, I'm back in May to get the rest of the sleeve finished. He has appointments in May but it's usually 3 months wait as he is so busy, Beth is also excellent too.

I believe we have an obvious first team choice now that the players are back from injury.
Anything other than this would be a surprise.

Roefs.
Mucky - Ballard - Alderete - Reinaldo.
Sadicki - Xhaka - Le Fee.
Rigg - Brobbey - Talbi.

They will probably all be available for the next game.
Can't see Rigg being first 11 with Diarra, Hume and Traore on the bench.
He had a very good game Sunday but so far this season that's pretty much it. Let's not get carried away.
