I have to say that your reverse psychology ruse worked a treat! You clearly know him better than anyone and if I hadn't read he was going to keep the Adams avatar for the whole season I'd never have believed it. Great work <laugh>

Unfortunately, Pixie has ruined if for everyone, mate. If only he hadn't goaded me too far with all that "bottling it" bollocks.

So, what I have decided to do is to carry the current avatar all season, not just for one month. Not only does Pixie (and his twat band of cohorts) get what he wants, but I voluntarily subsume a far greater burden, thereby making it abundantly clear that I am not bottling it. Pixie is, thereby, rendered a fool yet again.

Well obviously because you reneged on the deal! You agreed to Tony with the league trophy and now you have Tony showing the size of the Dildo you try to finger with his hands...I would say that's bottling it...

However, Pixie has been too clever. His goading has left me with a "damned if I do/damned if I don't" situation. Either way, he's going to crow about me being a bottler.

Therefore, I have taken control of my own destiny, voluntarily increasing the period of time over which I must carry an Arsenal avatar by a substantial margin, but in a way that denies Pixie his gloating.

Pixie is going to continue to scream "bottler" regardless (he'd do that even if I changed my avatar), but the lads will know my reasons for not carrying that particular avatar, and that I have, nonetheless, stepped up to the mark and honoured the bet.

You haven't honoured anything! If you truly are big shot lawyer you make out to be then I am afraid to say most lawyers don't have any honour and I work with enough to know what they are like!
