I parked at our offices in Newburn on the side of the road in the car park with no lines and no "no parking" signs and got a ticket!
The photos they uploaded onto their system show the front and rear of my car on a non marked road and a wide angle shot showing no signs to say I couldn't park there! So the warden has issued me with a ticket then provided me with evidence that the ticket is not valid!! Work that out

Read that 3 times and can`t figure it out.

Got to admit Marcus, that one`s got me beat.<laugh>

sound advice here -

I certainly would not entertain a parking ticket or pay any fine that's issued by a private company - just ignore it and throw any threatening letters or correspondence in the bin

Brilliant advice and brilliant site.

I have to confess that I'm bloody minded with these little Hitlers, and have always kept myself sussed about the law. I can guarantee that every time I've heard "You have to pay this money, otherwise we'll take you to court, and you'll have to pay loads more" I've answered "Hurry up then, take me to court, let's see what an unbaised judge has to say".

And every time these paper tigers have disappeared into nothing.

Pay ****.all mate.

FFS, what have I started? <doh>
You realize don't you that when I was at gamblers anonymous I organized a sweep to see which on of us would crack first?
Everybody chipped in, we pooled the pot & put it all in the bandit in the local club.

Had 2 tickets in the past month and none previous. One for parking on double yellows near my house and our blue badge wasnt displayed correctly. Failed on first appeal with Tameside council and I havnt replied yet. 2nd was in the disabled spaces in an Aldi car park. Was 17 minutes over a limit of an hour and a half (which I didnt know about as couldnt see signs) so got a £70 ticket. Appeal has gone in to the private company. Would love these f*****s to deal with a disabled wife, guide dog and 2 young kids whilst stressing about where to park! @@@@@
Don't we get 3 hours parking with a blue badge?

In the middle of a fight with Horizon about an overstay charge of £80 for parking at the Arnison Centre. Theres about 20 shops there and if you spend 12 minutes or more in each you are overstaying. We had lunch, shopped, did a monthly shop in Sainsbury's and ended up in M&S for coffee and cakes so were an hour over. They say if I don't pay they will recover from the driver but as I refuse to divulge that's not going to happen. I will happily go to court as even if I lose the maximum costs to me will be the fine + £25 small claims registration. It will cost them way more than that in admin. All of which brings me to my point which is the partition against unfair parking charges doing the rounds now. I urge everyone to sign this and spread the word to friends and families. These ****ing robbing twats need kicked into touch.

My old boss once charged a bloke £550 for parking on his private land.

It's incredibly annoying when some dickhead who won't pay £2 for the meter thinks they can just be a hippy and park their car where they want.

Defo get your case though, nothing like this... But the parkee isn't always in the right.

I get them all the ****ing time, I use 'pay by phone' and therefore I screenshot the text and they get quashed, but it's a massive pain in the arse.

I caught one of these hood rat ****ers ticketing my car when I had paid by phone, and he said 'yeah sometimes the handhelds don't work'.

'It's in the system now'...**** off.

If they don't work you don't ticket you ****faced little ****bag. These people are only doing a job, I get that, but don't take the piss cos that makes you a pondlife prick.

The look he gave me when I stood and said 'go on then, ticket it you ugly ****' was worth it. It was quashed, obviously.
