Col and Bob are both great posters and really know their football. I've never seen anything resembling racism from either.
As a general comment, in my view, if anyone is going to make a serious allegation against a fellow poster - and an accusation of racism IS serious - then the accuser must support the claim with clear evidence so that the accused poster can respond and the mods can take an informed overview. Inspecific throw away comments of racism are never acceptable and are themselves an abuse.
And we have three fantastic mods and this board would be greatly diminished without any one of them.

Well said. Difficult to know where to start and I too feel I have wasted a substantial period of my life reading some of the drivel on here. Lots of accusations have been made. Now put up or be prepared to be silenced so that the rest of us can get on with civilised debate. For the accusers please identify clearly which posts on this forum amount to racial harassment in your view. In other words. which comments or statements were made with the purpose or had the effect of violating your dignity or creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment for you.
It's important that you should be able to explain that without resorting to insults and name calling.
That's not quite what happened, Oz. I don't advocate banning in any shape or form, let alone a permanent one for Imaz but he made a complete cock of himself............not for the first time either. He doesn't like it when someone criticizes his religion but I'm afraid its a case of tough titties. He threw his toys out the pram and got hooked for it. It was the accusation that was the problem. The "proof" was requested to back up the accusation and none was forthcoming.
I disagree with you, and I think you manipulate 'facts' to suit your agenda.
You are 3 times more likely to be shot by the police in the US if you are black than you are if you are white. Whites are of course a far bigger part of the population, so you would expect more of them numerically to be shot. I have no idea how many of these killings are justifiable in the context of the US policing/legal system, perhaps 99% perhaps none.

Totally ridiculous thread. I will be kind to Queens who is usually a fun poster, by saying I think his account has been hacked. I don't see too many racists at QPR myself, as we cheer Adel and Armond, and Junior and SWP (ok not often) and Ned and Leroy and Yun and Isla and Vargas and Matty etc etc. a great team now managed by one of a handful of black managers and owned by a Malaysian and Indian consortium. A more diverse group of people enjoying (or not) an equally diverse group of people you would struggle see anywhere else. This is the wrong place IMO to look to point the finger at racists.
It's a relative thing BBH, it's the percentage compared to the population, not the total number that is important. That quite clearly shows that proportionally as a black man you are more likely to be shot by U.S police. Maths isn't my greatest strong point and even I can see that.That shows more whites are killed

I never mentioned percentage in my opening post though.
I just stated that more white people are killed by police.
I could talk about the percentage of blacks who are criminals compared to whites, which of course is also far higher.

Also, BBH, what type of crimes are you including and omitting in that statement. with the ethnic breakdown of the U.S population, with such a high proportion of white Americans, I find it hard to believe that the total number of crimes committed would be commited by one ethnic background. Your using proportions for one part of your viewpoint but not the other.

Having just read the whole thread from the start there has been some very unedifying posts. Therefore to enable Nines, Beth and myself to look at the claims closer it has been decided for the time being to lock this thread. Whilst some will feel that this is over modding on our part it is being done to stop this thread decending once again into a slanging match.
I trust most will agree that the 3 of us Mod in a light manner and we will carry on in that vein but there are times when things get out of hand and this is one of those times. Once we have had the opportunity to consider the posts we may well re-open this thread but it is likely to be tomorrow at the earliest.
Enjoy the rest of the evening, and can we find some QPR related things to talk about......
