With City being the next game at the weekend afterwards, do you think he will?

Maybe take the risk and rest a few in prep for the big game at the top.
Well we are playing Bradford at the weekend, so I would play a second string team in that one, and field our best on Tuesday.
If they cannot handle a game on Tuesday then another on Saturday they dont deserve their pay cheques.

Just thinking risk of injuries or suspension more than anything.

Slow mo proves Costa kicked Sakho's leg as he tried to run past him... Sakho was looing the other way.

Completely agree
Would have been a disgrace if given, tbf to atkinson thought he got every single penalty claim and decision spot on, still not sure on handball and corner with ball totally over line, it was the other decisions he was very inconsistent with as opposed to wrong.

You're talking out yer hoop lad.

You stated you now had the away goal advantage, when the reality is you haven't. You have the potential of gaining an advantage should the second game finish level' but as it stands the away goal advantage sits with them

Come off it - everyone knew what he meant about the away goal advantage.

I honestly didn't, but I see what he meant, but it only really gives you an advantage if it ends all square at the 90 at the Bridge, and even then you could argue we get an extra 30 mins at home so it could just as easily be called an advantage for us. But who knows, doesn't matter. I think there'll be a winner at the Bridge on 90 minutes

Great game. Good advert for the COC with two big teams playing strong line-ups. Shout out to Lucas, he is returning to the form pre-injury in 2012. Hope it continues.

Everton knows the ****ing rules, not everyone shared his view that you had an actual advantage ffs <doh>

Everton don't need to know the rules.. you've not been near a League Cup semi in a while :bandit:

Great game that... Good viewing even for the nuetrals

Tobes didn't seem to enjoy it and he's [HASHTAG]#neutral[/HASHTAG]

I'm an optimist so used it as an advantage to us :bandit:
It can be looked at either way, but all it means is that if it's 0-0 with 10 minutes to go we don't need to go all out and try and win it there and then (not that I bank on us keeping a clean sheet away to you guys) <laugh>

Rodgers:

"I'm delighted with the performance, disappointed with the result. We thoroughly deserved to win the game."

"We showed wonderful character. Some of our play was very impressive and it sets up the second leg perfectly because they've probably got to open up a bit more."

"It's still all to play for. It was a great game and that shows the improvements that we're making."

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers on Sky Sports: "I'm delighted with the performance, disappointed with the result. We thoroughly deserved to win the game.

Standard Rodgers fare. Not sure why Chelsea have to open up given that they're going through as things stand.

Probably sell him now and not replace him <laugh>
