Oh sure, having a player on the pitch who basically can't be arsed and already thinks he's Messi, and who would do absolutely **** all is way better than having someone trying to prove a point or learn their craft.

Nobcheese.

1st of all did you really just get that upset at a guy on a football forum to where you felt the need to call him *nobcheese* for having an opinion? ;) It was fairly obvious i'm not comparing ben arfa to Maguire haha, the point was ben arfa would be better on the field than in France against teams like this!! P.S it's knobcheese ;)

Soz, you seem a bit touchy. Nobcheese.

You really seem a little hard of thinking. Explain to me again how us having Ben Arfa on the pitch, doing **** all, would benefit us again?

You've clearly never watched us play, especially when he's been given a chance.

He does nothing.

This isn't like FIFA or FM. You can't just pick players and they do the business for you all the time.

Ben Arfa clearly thought he was too good for us, and Newcastle, and in fact every club he's played for.

He puts zero effort in. It's like having 10 men on the pitch.

Nobber.

We were playing with 5men yesterday haha what's the difference? At least ben arfa has some quality and may actually do something in the final third (when played in correct position)

Kinell. Noone is suggesting he doesnt have the ability or isn't a quality footballer.

The fact is however, he does not choose to use it on the football field. For anyone.

You'd select him, and pay him a fortune week after week on the off chance this is the game he puts in 2 mins worth of effort and scores a goal?

Ben Arfa strolled onto the pitch, and strolled around, did nowt, then came off.

We were his big chance to put himself back in the window after a dire time and getting a bad name at Newcastle.

Even that wasn't enough for him.

He thinks hes a CL player, and that AC or Real Madrid will come in for him.

This is real football and real life, not something on your X Box.

I would never of brought him to the club for the reasons you just stated, however every ****er knew that about him before he came here!!! Bruce knew what he was getting and while on the books I would take a risk in playing him yes (only if its out wide ffs). He tracks back more than you lot make out, he got scapegoated for being a lazy **** in one game. He's not going to run around like a headless chicken all game but he does stick to his defensive duties most the time!!

I would say, if that's the case, it amounts to poor management.

You never know when you might have an injury crisis, you never know if that player will find a new club. For me every first team player should be treated and respected as a first team player until they leave.

What if we need to call on McShane now over the festive period? He's likely to tell Steve Bruce he's got a bone in his leg and injured himself anticipating Christmas dinner. Thanks but no thanks, I'll take christmas.

Why was Ben Arfa sent away? His performance was poor yes but, no worse than performances of others we've seen over the course of this season and last, he switched off when tracking a runner and cost us a goal, how many times last season did Elmo switch off and cost us a goal? How often was Elmo sent back to Egypt?

Why was Ben Arfa played out of position and used as a scapegoat by Bruce when it inevitably didn't work? Why does Bruce single out particular players? Why does he never hold his hands up and admit he made a mistake? Why is it always a/the players fault and why does he always give them a public dressing down in the media?

Why are we struggling to fill our bench today?

Why are you constantly moaning ?

What a surprize !
You are getting on somebody's nerves !
It's not only me who thinks your one argumentative C**T !
You know absolutely **** all about football by the way.

How am I the argumentative one when he argued with me?
And I know lots about football - I can name players, teams, kit colours and everything. So you're wrong.

I'm disappointed with McShane for tweeting that. He may have chosen his words carefully but nonetheless it was a bit naughty.

The fact that macca has to apologise to the squad makes this more than just a spat put dummy through not playing. My guess is macca has been on the pop on a school night and missed training (hence the need to apologise to the squad), if that is the case then he rightly deserves to be punished.

No, he called Alex Bruce a name. Playground stuff.
