2.Birmingham city striker Kevin phillips set to sign for us.
3. Will Hoskins and Danny Andrew are apparently two more new signings.

I started watching this "Argyle Soap Opera" in 1952..i was 10yrs old. before TV..just the Archers on the wireless...
Now 59yrs later i get to read about the ongoing "Soap Opera" through the Western Morning News on the computer...Faces have changed but the problems are still there.
I can't wait for the next episode..

Where to start well this one time at band camp.......

Hoskins would be a bit on the pricey side I would have thought, Phillips sounds possible, Andrew a few clubs have been looking at him dunno much about him tbh.
 
We are out of the woods, we are on the up nothing else can possible go wrong now. Ok I probably have just woken up. Look, whatever might have happened over the past few seasons, we actually are coming out of it. We WILL have a team come kick off and they WILL at the very least keep us in this league by the end of next season. After that all this will be just a bad dream and the march forward will begin again. Come on, strike up the band, altogether now "Onward christian soldiers............

Hoskins was one of league 1's hottest prospects last season and has now signed for Brighton. Where are people getting this Kevin Phillips info from? Would be crackin' if true!

I pray things are starting to move forward but don't jinx it! July 4th should give us more of an indication..
 
I hope so also, we will have to see, no point building our hopes up until it happens, as we have been let down so many times before.

1.Havent we heard that before, i doubt we will hear anything on the 4th July deadline to be honest :laugh:.
2.Would love it to be true, but have also heard the Coventry rumours.
3.Hoskins would never join a club in the state we are in at the moment knowing he could walk into any League 1 club maybe even Championship club. Dont know much about Mr Andrew.

I think the Kevin Phillips makes a lot of sense - mind you a lot of unfounded rumours do.

Sir Peter & Phillips were together at Sunderland when Sir Peter was manager there.

Phillips is 37 and will be looking for a first coaching/management post having been released by Birmingham. Where better to start than with someone you know well?

I can see Phillips having a player/coach role to start. 37 or not, with 254 goals in 561 games, there will be a lot of League 2 CB's who won't fancy seeing him come off the bench with 15 minutes to play when a goal is needed.................
