I don't like the sound of this trialist.....Andy Crompton.........we've had enough problems without bringing some in.

Good to see some movement in for a change. Was starting to think Reid was going to have to play himself this season!

I'm sure Phillips would be a quality signing. King Kev can defo still cut it at Championship level from what i've seen and he shouldn't want much being in his twilight years, although it will be an acid test of his early management skills, can he give direction to an obviously wayward dressing room? Should be one of many fascinating League 2 sub-plots this year.

This Crompton lad put me in mind of Walton when you read a bit about him with attitude. Anyway, so much for us not getting anyone in. They will of course be the drags of the earth who nobody else could possibly want as some are bound to say. No names of course.

Robbie Williams should be good for the halftime entertainment at least, heard rumours Elvis will be signing soon and Elton Johns on trials too. Good to see some action and rumours circulating at least rather than the doom and gloom we´ve been under. Hope the Phillips one does come off always liked him as a player and in Div 2 think he would be excellent.

Trialist or cast off's, just give us a team.. Reidy is not stupid and players would want to play under him at a club below it's natural level. But only if they will get paid !!

    Agree 100%.
Havent we learnt our lesson over the past few years with these type of players as they have been a big part in our downfall (ie dressing room splits etc). And they are impossible to move on/get rid of, so they then stay on their nice comfy contracts untill they run out!!!!!

Difference with this one is he won't be on Championship wages will he and any contract is likely to be for 1 year with maybe an option rather than a 4 year deal. Maybe he will wake up and smell the fact that it could be his last chance for a career also. I don't think Reid will suffer idiots gladly so I'm not so bothered about his reputation or previous. To see players being linked with and not leaving from is a pleasant change and I do think the mood around the camp will start to change very soon.

away in bc, i preferred dick barton special agent sadly replaced by the archers, although walter gabriel could have scored for argyle, but enough of this pensioners prologue. i am delighted that argyle are on their way back. the wmn mentions confirmation of your irish gibralter deal on monday. the very best of luck to the squad for the season, at least you will have an opening game at shrewsbury on 6.8.11. have you got many pre season friendlies.
the amount of tension peter reid and his ever dwindling unpaid squad have put up with since october, he and they deserve a good season. i notice one of your mp's has secured an adjournment debate in parliament on wednesday night to conclude business, about the scandal of argyle staff going without pay for 8 months. it will be carried live on wednesday night at the close of business on the parliament chanel freeview 81 or sky about 503? i am sure your lady mp will not spare the blushes of the bunch of plonkers who nearly ran your club over a cliff. er good luck
