Maybe you leaned against the on/off switch..........turn it off or turn the thermostat down to a low temperature setting........you'll soon get the hang of it..........trouble is you'll start having to pay for gas/elec that you use..........then you'll remember why you turned it off (you were probably saving up for your new Argyle shirt)
Cor....thats a stinker...... Mrs Reid........but it's the way you tellum that counts. If he's that mouldy.........humming.....our new half-time entertainer Robbie Williams songs should be quite easy..........but please stand down wind of us when you do it please, thankyou.
Happy with this one if it turns out to be true. Liam Dickinson has scored goals for Stockport at this level before and was their player of the year so cant be too bad. Yeah some will say he hasnt had a great record in the higher leagues but fingers crossed it has made him a better all round player. Trying to stay optimistic.
Don't know this guy but the main thing is to get a squad together which can win games in League 2. First things first! If that can happen, then the fans will brighten up and suddenly everything looks better. From the little that's emerged so far, it looks as if 1 year contracts may be the order of the day. OK, that means that players that do well move on but duffers can be dispensed with and there's room for manoeuvre as finances improve [we hope].
hmm not sure about this one. On paper he has been playing in the Championship so would look a good signing for this level. But have you seen the amount of clubs he's already had!? Could be a trouble maker.. Also I seem to remember a photo in the local rag up here when he was playing for Albion of him falling out of a nightclub with a women in his arms.
I have been accused of whingeing and being a doom and gloom merchant recently so would just like to point out a thing or two. Not so long ago there were people coming on here complaining that we wouldn't have a team come kick off and the end of the world was a blink of the eye away. Now, a short time on, there are names beginning to appear that we may just be about to sign up. The we won't have a team doom merchants are now turning to "not sure we want him" posts instead. So, which is it then? We won't have a team or we would rather we didn't have one if some of the names are signed. None of these players have even kicked a ball in training down here let alone in anger for us so why the whingeing and doom laden prophecies. Don't you think it would be better to have a look at them first before condemning them to the waste bin. Now there is a positive thought to chew on.
Fair point I s'pose. All I'm saying is we need to get it right this time, and I don't want that put at risk by employing POTENTIALLY disruptive figures.
As long as they only remain potentially disruptive then we won't have anything to worry about. I think Peter Reid has been around the block enough times to "put straight" anyone who thinks they can be bigger than the club they are at. We have to trust that the majority of signings will be for the better rather than the worse. It's not like we can be as choosey as we would like to be given that Plymouth Argyle has a bit of a reputation at the moment and they are signing on as much in hope of us as us with them.
