I don't get why everyone on here seems so desperate for us to sign Borini, the main reason being this:

Where would that leave Giachh? We have our £6m Italian international sat on the bench for another season?

I figured the idea was for Borini to take the pressure off Giachh in his first season in the BPL, Borini could more or less slot straight in as he'd played in the Prem before, leaving Giachh some time to get used to the pace of the league. It seems to me he's now done this (judging from his last few sub performances) and for that reason I'd rather see the £12m Liverpool are asking for spent elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong, Borini's a decent player, but there's alot on here saying they predict a big season from Giacch whilst also saying Borini should be our #1 target this summer. I don't get it, the two are surely contradictory? The way I see it, if we sign Fabio we have to sell Giachh, and that's a shame because imo he was looking a decent player towards the tail-end of last season.

Thoughts?

Bent, Gyan, Fletcher, Graham, Jones, Chopra, Bendtner, etc is the answer .......

.... Borini actually looks like he gives a **** about the club and the supporters.

I want him to sign so I can see him piss himself laughing again when we get another penalty against the mags lol, personally I can see giaccerini playing an advanced central midfield role, probably at the expense of Larsson

Err, that you're talking ****e.

PDC your not Adrian Durham are you?

Borini imo would be a tremendous signing. At the mo Borini is a step up on SAFC. Hopefully it's a match made in heaven and both him and us can fulfil our dreams together.
Plus like already said he scores against them up the road.

Love Fabio, but I wouldn't spend 12m on him. Don't think his overall game is worth that much. Canny finisher, but a lot of his goals did come from the spot. 8m max for me.

On another note, would like to see us bid for Welbeck. Played a similar role to Fabio whilst he was here and seems to be unhappy at united.

Borini and Giacc played in the same team several times towards the end of last season

He`s been here, we`ve seen what he can do. Nothing wrong with trying to bring him back to do it again.

Hardly desperation really.

If Newcastle don't sign a decent striker early in the window you'll see desperation.

They've lost Shola, de Jong & Remy ....... if they don't get owt better for that 'famous number 9', they'll have to give it to 'mini-Shola' <laugh>

They`ve just had an offer turned down for some bugger (not interested enough to check the details) offered £6m for a £12m player apparently. The old `tried but couldn`t get him over line` routine starting up again. <laugh>
