I don't get why everyone on here seems so desperate for us to sign Borini, the main reason being this:
Where would that leave Giachh? We have our £6m Italian international sat on the bench for another season?
I figured the idea was for Borini to take the pressure off Giachh in his first season in the BPL, Borini could more or less slot straight in as he'd played in the Prem before, leaving Giachh some time to get used to the pace of the league. It seems to me he's now done this (judging from his last few sub performances) and for that reason I'd rather see the £12m Liverpool are asking for spent elsewhere.
Don't get me wrong, Borini's a decent player, but there's alot on here saying they predict a big season from Giacch whilst also saying Borini should be our #1 target this summer. I don't get it, the two are surely contradictory? The way I see it, if we sign Fabio we have to sell Giachh, and that's a shame because imo he was looking a decent player towards the tail-end of last season.
Thoughts?
