    No excuse but you would have to question how sensible it was for Barton to be outside a nightclub in Liverpool at that time in the morning. Keeping your head down is clearly not a philosophy Joey subscribes to.

    That would be common sense, but in his defence if he's on holiday I guess better to be letting his hair down now than mid season. But like you said not the wisest place to be. With his money might have been better to pop off abroad to do his thing.

    Aye could have gone anywhere. A night out in his hometown was probably a bit silly. No problem with him enjoying his time off, he won't have a game for a while!

    To be fair he has probably just been arrested as a matter of course while the police establish the facts. We'll know more once they've spoke to all three parties and any witnesses. Then they'll charge the guilty parties as they see it. He may well be innocent but not a clever place to take your lass on the piss. What was wrong with the Bahamas?
