That looks bad to meAlderete substituted with a bit of a knee injury, hope its not serious
Tremendous analysis of the death of Scottish football. They need a resetTotally agree mate. Fans apart they're awful, tactically and stylistically they've brought nothing to the tournament. Even their better players have been underwhelming and the rest of the squad is seriously lacking depth and quality. It says it all tht they took 3 goalkeepers to the tournament, none first choice at their club this season with the total of 4 league games between them.
But for me it's the hype surrounding them, they way the media built it up. It's as though the media had a complete blind spot about them and after they beat Haiti it was as if they'd made it into the knockout stages already. It's not as bad as the Ally McLeod fiasco but it's not like they learned their lesson from it.
The truth be told Scotland have had problems since they began messing about with their league structure in the early 80s but no one will say anything about it. When you watch the Scottish League you can see how poor the standard overall is and that is where the majority of Scottish footballers are produced. It just doesn't produce enough at a high enough quality or in a decent enough quantity to make a squad competitive and over the last 30 odd years they've gradually been left behind. You can argue convincingly that Scotland haven't had a decent striker at international level since Ally McCoist and then you compare the centrebacks they put out last night compared to the kind they were fielding in the past like Hansen, Richard Gough or Colin Hendry. All those failures to get to World Cups and Euros over the years yet the SFA and wider Scottish football seem happy to carry on doing the same things that's failed them in the past hoping they'll some how make it without considering looking at how other countries do it and learn from that.
That looks bad to me

... made too much noise screaming the house down.
I'm going to be in trouble if any of our lads play against England.
