Looks like betting sponsors are out now so we'll need a new shirt sponsor for the coming season, as far as I could see there have been no announcements yet, so let's speculate!

We were linked with Nissan, for obvious reasons, for a long-long time but it never came to fruition, apparently some of the bosses were Mags! Still, this would be an excellent sponsor with local links and it would be a bit of a throwback considering we don't see car brand sponsors that much these days.

Another I remember being linked with during the Keano era was Guinness, they even launched a Guinness Red product where the drink had a red hue, some said it was a nod to Drumaville, Quinny and Keano being at Sunderland, that's probably bollocks but added to the feel good factor around the club at that time.

Other fun ideas:
Hotel Chocolat, co-founder Angus Thirlwell is from Sunderland.
USB (union bank of switzerland), thinking about the Swiss link here, we used to be the Bank of England club, maybe time to be the Bank of Switzerland club?

Nissan are absolutely skint so won’t be them.

Most likely it’s gonna be a tech or AI firm. Midea are heavy on football sponsorship.

Thought of a local company is lovely but we need the right deal for the right money to help with progress.

Fulwell 73 would be class.

How would you feel about Tesla, if it was a record-breaking deal?

With Sunderland now with European travel, an airliine would be my speculation to boost spending with packages out soon after 28th August. Bring on Friday to see this Hummel partnership continue.
