Great result against Turkey.
Apparently Turkey have had 62 attempts at goal in their two games and have a zero return.
Looks like they forgot to pack their shooting boots.
Gobsmacked at Turkey being so bad.
I’d have had them as a contender for quarters there’s clearly something rotten in their squad.
Not like they had a tough group either. Delighted for Omar mind.

Bit of the old England about them maybe. Struggling under the pressure and not being able to enjoy playing.
Turkey are a strange team. They had a weak 4 team qualifying group with Spain (obviously not weak), Georgia and Bulgaria so were always going to finish comfortably second. They got a 6-0 hammering off Spain at home but drew 2-2 in Spain in the last game. They won all the other games (Georgia and Bulgaria only ended up with 3 points each after beating each other) but some of the results and performances were inconsistent, a couple of big wins but also a couple of narrow wins. They then had probably the easiest knockout path against a pretty weak Romania and the Kosovo, beating both 1-0. So you don't really know if they've been tested enough in qualifying, and maybe haven't had enough games against other higher standard teams in the last couple of years to push them. If there is something rotten in the set up, that's the kind of thing that can mask it.
Aye they’ve go so much quality in there but it just doesn’t ever click or even look particularly like it’s going to.
