We need a new keeper that will compete with Pandur to be No.1, not another Phillips.
I suspect we'll be cashing in on Pandur.
Keep Phillips as 3rd choice, Destanoglu as 2nd and a new keeper 1st.
I doubt there'd be so much speculation about a raft of keepers if we were getting Destanoglu as 1st choice, given he's a free transfer and we'll have known we can get him for a while.
But, but, it's got nothing to do with the Premier League. It's the EFL who would issue any punishment, it's just that the sanction would apply in the PL rather than being delayed until a return to the EFL which was previously the rule.
I'm aware, I don't think this is the only keeper we're bringing in.
Assuming Destanoglu is not **** enough to get megged direct from a corner vs Prem opposition he'll be better than Phillips, getting a 2nd choice keeper on a free doesn't sound like a bad idea
I think we need a first choice keeper personally, someone intended to push Pandur. I think he needs it too.
Irrespective of whether it's the EFL or the EPL, its harsh...The whole thing sounds to me as if the big clubs with all the media power and clout just don't want little Hull City in their playpen, messing with their toys. One reason why I don't like the Premier League. Just as an aside I put something on the BBC website, and accused Man Citeth of 'getting away with murder' for which I was promptly black-balled. That's free speech for you in the Britain of 2026. It sucks.

As some have mentioned on here, and I posted on about a week ago, I wouldn't be surprised if Pandur was sacrificed to meet PSR and a high end keeps, like Pope or the other Croatian lad gone for in the slightly longer term
Didn't he say he fancied a move to Italy? Maybe changed his mind though now we are PL?
I can't imagine any of our players are that desperate to leave now, esp to stay at championship level.....but they're professionals and if the club are saying we've accepted a bid, you're not likely to be first choice it's a tough position to be in as a player
