I'm booked in Frankfurt

Stupid what
<laugh>

I've lived in different regions of France, in Italy and have friends in various parts of Europe ...

... I'm currently engaged in a stealthy campaign to gradually remind people how happy they'd be to see me again.

At some point this week I'll be calling my ex-girlfriend, in France, to suggest a visit..

One of the 606 lads once came to stay with me and met Juliette, in Cagnes sur Mer ... great memories.

Any fans on here remember (what im assuming was done by a sunderland fan working for google maps )seeing the piss take on sid james park ...... somebody drew a cock and balls over st james park and it was there for years on google maps ,it was cleverly formed by the road network and you could only see it if you zoomed in so the roads showed up?It was very childish and very clever in equal measure and was only bettered by the mighty Wear appearing on the Great north run Medal!

FORMER Sunderland assistant Luciano Vulcano has told of his delight after the Black Cats qualified for the Europa League - and has revealed he is now on the lookout for his first head coach job.

"Last season at Sunderland, I was asked to bring my 'Italian' tactical approach to an already solid structure," he explained in a new interview with Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

"The club has built a strong team: Xhaka is a champion and would be a starter anywhere in Italy, Alderete was close to joining Roma, and Brobbey was a target of ours at Milan.

"Qualifying for the Europa League is deserved, and the English experience will stay with me."

Not going to lie mate I read what you quoted and the full article but somehow missed that. I have this thing for paying less attention to the reported parts and concentrating on the quote so assume I didn't read it properly <doh>. I assumed it would be something he had heard from Xhaka at some point but missed this being said.
Why say " not going to lie " i assume you would not.

Had a bit of a family night tonight with the step daughter, son in law and grandson round and talking about the holiday we've got booked in October. Well it's only coincides with Matchday 3 of the Europa League and the following Sunday Premier League match so it's with a heavy heart that if both games are at home there'll be 2 tickets available.

The downside will be that you'll have to make your own way up to Edinburgh to the airport and you'll have to make friends with the missus and the family pretty damn quick as they'll have the tickets cos me and the grandson are staying home for the matches!

From League 1 to Europe

Dennis was one of the faces of the renaissance of Sunderland...

Thank you for everything Dennis and all the best for what comes next

Brought a tear to my eyes that, he could have been one of the first on the team sheet if not for his injuries.
All the best for the future mate.

The lad just seemed part of Sunderland to me.
Wonder where he’ll end up?
I think hes good enough to play in the prem but I doubt many will come calling because of his injury record so i predict a European move for him (or the MLS) to a less physical league.I forget where his injuries were located ,i know he had a long term wrist problem but was it ankle problems?Sometimes the genetic lottery plays silly buggers as it may give you the skill to make it but saddle you with a breadstick body that destines you for failure.

Anyone know when the retained list is due? Thought it would be out by now.

Be interesting to see if we extend Harrison Jones' contract, he might be a handy one to keep just to throw in the squad as a homegrown player. Might get a few minutes against the lesser teams too.

Would traore class as homegrown? Wiki has him at Chelsea from 2013, think he would've been 18 then and left in 2017

Does it not go off if they’re registered at the club or do they need to play so many games?

It's why Mayenda still isn't technically homegrown for us. His time at Hibs isn't counted towards the 3 years.

Ah right didnt realise that. Thought it would've been a good reason to keep traore

The echo did a piece the other day saying expect to see the likes of him being retained but sold this summer.
