I wonder how many of them are singing this at the moment? (Obviously it's not about our Gordon on here!)

Could Newcastle be facing a perfect storm next season?

Eddie staying when he couldn't get a tune out of this squad, they've already lost Gordon, Trippier ,Tonali? and possibly more, struggled to get enough goals out of their new forwards and have a defence which leaked goals in numbers all season.

Then there's the issue of the stadium and training facilities which isn't going to improve anytime soon.

A manager whose under extreme pressure already, two months before the season resumes with a history of blowing vast sums of money on bang average signings it just seems to me the owners are showing a lack of interest in this project.

If they don't get off to a strong start then the storm clouds over SJP could burst....watch this space.

Good isn't it.
It might be the only time they get their shirts washed, the scruffy f@ckers...

They are mental for keeping Howe. He's not a bad coach, but anyone can see he's run out of road there now. His mumbling and defensive answers to quite fair questions and his mind boggling attachment to his one way of playing tells it's own story (apparently he said in a press conference that if Plan A isn't working, the answer is to do Plan A better). Eh?

He's all but done there, and though he could never say it, he'll be relieved to be gone. Maybe they are waiting until all the good managers floating around have got jobs, then they won't have to push on up and get one of them.

A fair bit not right there I'd say. Nothing wrong with the idea of seeking external investment, something they have not denied and which has been reported by very reputable sources. But it does not suggest that the land of milk and honey is just around the corner. If they attract this 20% or 25% investment, then that would take the Saudis to around 65%. A controlling share, but one which does not imply an open ended commitment from them, in fact it makes it impossible.

Time to sign Eddie up to a new five year deal!

Newcastle Open Talks to Sign 'Superstar' Forward to Replace Anthony Gordon

Don’t get me wrong but when you say the word Super Star you would think you should of heard of them,
Ezzalzouli, sorry doesn’t ring any Super Star bells.

Villa want him too though.

He is quality mind I hope they don’t get him.

He is a bit more developed than the lads we’ve brought in he’s very decent indeed.

Massive potential player a lot of games for Betis already and he is a great runner, scores a few.

Was at Barca a few years played a few times for them.

Pretty’s sure he lands at Villa great fit for them.

Apparently Bruno, the ‘adopted Geordie’ who’d ’never want to leave’ has just instructed his agent to inform the club he’d like to ‘explore his options’ this summer.

I’ll be honest didn’t think this would pop up. ‘Geordie Josh’ having a meltdown.

Them Saudi ££££ really where worth it.

If anyone's on a train, or otherwise confined, and wants the opportunity to laugh at people being deadly serious this is an absolute classic!

These two lads, bless them, are completely harmless and sincere but as deluded as any Mags you'll ever see.

They're deciding on who Newcastle will buy next season and who they'll sell ...

... these are the figures they're talking about.

As someone who knows more about football than me, where am I missing the point here?

Livramento - £100million

Bruno Guimaraes - £100million

Tonali - £90million

(Would be £100million but he was injured at Fulham.)

So what are Hall, Miley and Walter worth!

They might get a decent fee for Tonali. He's got quite a lot left on his deal . Maybe the same as for Gordon, though I don't think he's worth it. The other two are into the last two years of their deals think. One is always injured, the other is 30.

Teams will not be rushing to pay big fees for either, and few would risk any fee for Livramento with his recent injury record.

Newcastle United are in such a mess I'd guess many of their players will be keen to get out of the club.

The better ones can negotiate better wages ...

... the poor ones will cling on knowing no one else will pay them that kind of money.

I can see them ending up with a worse squad next season, imagine that.

The agents will know they have them over a barrel. There will be some hefty fees , salaries and bungs paid by them this summer.

I'm not bothered who they sell or who they buy, or much about them at all now.

But Howe staying is good for everyone in the league, bar them.

Tried listening to it but switched off after 15 minutes. Them going on about signing players they can develop is all fine, however when they reference names like Bruno and Isak, haven't they realized they paid top dollar for them at the time? The mags paid £40 million for Bruno and over £60 million for Isak. Over £100 million on 2 players. Yes they made a big profit on Isak, but they bought him for not much less than they paid for Woltemade and looks less like going for a huge loss. It's not as if they're buying players for £20-£30 million to sell on after developing, the mags routinely pay peak price and some of these aren't going to go for much more than they paid for them. It's as though they've forgotten what they did before.

They're in a mess mate......if they don't get themselves sorted, they'll be where Spurs and West Ham were this season past.
