Interesting quote from Martin Hodge

“ We didn't build for anything further than this division. “

Wonder if this is what we'll be looking at doing. Prem experience but from abroad so we're not paying the England to England tax. Plus a couple of freebies and Acun pulling one or two 'WTF how has he done that' signings that may or may not end up being ****e.

Interesting that Sunderland's worst signing was their only (?) domestic signing in Adingra.

True, but I count the likes of xhaka as 'Prem experience' which is what I think we all would like to see.

As an aside, sick of boring twitter bastards (and on here) saying things like "whoever our scouts want" and "stop being unrealistic".

This is the most exciting time to be a city fan since probably 2012 and that got ruined pretty quickly. Let people go over the top!

Lewandowski seen throwing cans into queens gardens fountains so read into that what you will!

Throwing?? <yikes>

Has his legs gone? :emoticon-0145-shake

He was arrested this morning for drug driving. Good player in his day but think he’s finished at the top level now, was terrible for Feyenoord.
He had the raw attributes but never the decision making. Broke through at Liverpool and the move to city was the best thing that could have happened to him. Pep coached him to within an inch of his life. His terrible decision making was always apparent for England though, he did however have some outstanding games for us.
Without the intricate coaching of a perfectionist control freak like pep, mixed with the fact he’d earned loads of money, won a lot of trophies, and was getting older, there was only one way his career was going to go after leaving Manchester City. The fact it nosedived so fast was slightly surprising though.

Didn't they try and sell us to that lot that ****ed Reading over?
Yep.
That could so easily have been us. Any narrative about the Allams only willing to sell us to good owners is absolute BS.
The retrospective selective memory over Enob is ridiculous. He was an utter arsehole, as was his old man as soon as the name change issue arose (not detracting from the good the old man did away from football).

TBF to anyone selling anything. How on earth do they really know what the next owner is going to be like.

Reading's owners were brilliant for them until they weren't. As were Wednesday's. As were Derby's. Everyone's owners are great until they aren't.
Exactly. Chansiri bought Wednesday and within a season they were 90 minutes from Wembley. Had Mo Diamé not stuck one in the top corner in the play-off final in 2016, Owls fans might well now be speaking about a decade in the Premier League. Owners can get bored.
