He would be a typical Utd buy. Over priced and over rated. He's a good player and is a hard worker, but he doesn't surge through with the ball, and his passing isn't that much to write home about.

I honestly think he benefits from being called Sandro Tonali instead of Sandy Toner, or whatever. Being the best midfielder for Italy is not that big a deal right now.

He's better than Ugarte mind, but so am I, and I'm more than twice his age.

Mind. I agree he’s overpriced and a little overrated cos he’s quality only in patches, but I do think he’s a great fit for United and will glow up being somewhere he wants to be and competing for real top end honours.

As you say massive upgrade on that.

Tonali - Bruno - Cunha looks very good. I’d imagine he’s used deep and encouraged to carry and give the ball which he is very good at.

No bids coming either. He's about thirty. Another good player but not as good as touted.

He's a lot better than what they had so stood out, and he's effective. Gets a lot of fouls and gets away with tackles on the edge of being late. He's their best passer.

Some of their lot of have accused him of having a saviour complex, and I think I get that .

Into the last two years in June though. They'll have to offer him a whopping deal!

None of us are gonna sit here and say he isn’t a very good player, he is.

He’s also the type that if he’s in your side you love him and appreciate him.

What he plainly isn’t, is elite level. He isn’t getting first 11 at any of the really top clubs, he’d get bench minutes at most.

He’s quite slow, but doesn’t have the passing range of other ‘slower’ CM like say Ruben Neves.

He’s does have a great graft ethic and he’s very tidy with the ball.

He’s a ‘good PL midfielder’ who would probably be a ‘superb La Liga’ midfielder, but he just isn’t at that elite level and never has or will be.

They go on like he is best midfielder in the world.

To be fair they said multiple times last season how good their midfield was last season! Never saw evidence of it like, they couldn't even keep going for 90 minutes ffs!

Remember the comment from one who was sick of us going on about Xhaka and Sidiki and couldn't wait for Bruno, Linton and Tonali to say "hello boys" and give them a lesson!

They ****ing **** it and never once played all together against us due to "injuries" and the ones who were on the pitch got no where near our lads.

Serious question as I don't watch them enough but who gets in our team from them? Hall and Gordon (not sure he has the attitude?) Are only one I can think of considering. That world class midfield 3 doesn’t get in for Xhaka, Sidiki or Le Fee? None of their strikers or cb's replace ours either and keeper not a chance!

But they are objectively better than us according to that mag on that podcast the other day, even when presented with the evidence of derby results and league postions!

I wouldn’t expect us to drop Noah or Enzo or Granit for any of their ‘best midfield in PL’ 3 to be honest.

On ability and actual team role they just wouldn’t level us up.

In two games, one of them with their "best" midfield playing, it was our midfield that won out by a stretch.

Not easy playing in their midfield mind, as all they often see are players running away from them. But though it was good a year or so ago, like the rest of that side, it was dependent on manic running, and that always fades.

The only midfielder I'd like from them is Miley. He's only 20 and should become a really good payer in there, but I've never been that sure Howe likes to give younguns a really good run. Maybe another for the off one day. If I was him and Joelinton started before me next August, I'd be thinking about it.

Yeah Miley looks a player. Howe will likely ruin him by converting him into a full back again

Leave him there, extend his contract.

If Howe didnt have the 'won the Carabao Cup' get out of jail free card he would have been sacked this season, the club then possibly picking up more points, beating us? Getting into Europe at our expense? You could argue that them winning that cup has given our club a massive boost.
