Feels like the club is embracing this underdog persona, and I love it.

The Black Cats turning angry, the blackout tunnel, the club videos, the ‘you were saying?’ Clips.

But if ‘us against the world’ siege mentality and I’m here for it all day.
Agreed just let the squad look at the bookies odds for next season to fire them all up!!

Huzzah

Oof, that’s tremendous, utterly damning of the lazy twat pundits who are paid a fortune to trot out their inane thoughtless drivel.
Well, **** them, all of them.
And the worst of it is that they believe they’re being so profound and that what they say actually matters …

… in reality they could all quit and it wouldn’t make the slightest difference.

Shearer believes that his words and opinions actually affect the clubs he’s talking about, if that was true Newcastle wouldn’t have finished in the bottom half losing both derbies. He once even truly believed his inspiration would save Newcastle …

… he inspired them to one win in eight games and relegated them <laugh>

What none of them were able to figure out and the evidence was there all along if they bothered to look was simply this. That the Sunderland Association Football Club of the 2025/2026 season and the three seasons before that was a completely different animal to the one they so desperately wanted to think it was.
None of them took any notice of what was going on behind the scenes. They all thought that their little ‘profound’ soundbites were the last word. They didn’t understand that the KLD ownership group understood the heartbeat of the club, the city, the people, the support. Even last season with the ‘training games’ once we had secured the play off spot. Dan Ballards last second goal against Coventry City. The til the end attitude in the semi final or the final. None of them saw or for that matter wanted to see the change in mindset that had become the overarching ethos of everyone involved at the club from the very bottom to the very top.
So I’ll just say this to them and I make no apologies for saying it. **** right off you bunch of sanctimonious arseholes. .

Just PL as far as I'm aware. They only finished a couple places below us but will have obviously been on TV a good chunk more because it's 'Chelsea'.

Lost to us twice live on Sky :1980_boogie_down:

Did anyone else? <laugh> seriously though finishing 7th to get europa league and do the double over mags and Chelsea! Bookies would have given some odds on that! Pundits would have laughed at the suggestion!
