100% this summer has to be different.

Need to sell quick and buy even quicker.
That's why last summer was so frustrating: we did get started quick with Kudus and Gibbs-White...only for Gibbs-White to unhappen and our activity ground to an immediate halt and we didn't make any serious moves for a month

Anyone who was at the game, what was the fan reaction at FT?

What was the mood like towards the players? And the owners?

Just pure relief in all fairness. Didn't hear much animosity towards anyone, although I suspect that may well start from today.

We stayed for a while afterwards as I had a late train and it was pretty much a "party atmosphere " although God only knows why they felt that way after the s*** show I had to put up with this season!

When the stadium was pretty much empty the families came out and they were all on the pitch for quite a while.

Journey back was interesting as there was a right old mixture of Goons and Spurs fans in the tube...

Top keeper in this boy

said it all along

and bounced back well after the Madrid setback

I think he has been pivotal in our survival fight since De Zerbi arrived
Clearly there's a very good, potentially excellent keeper in there, but for me the mental strength he showed as a young lad post-Atletico debacle is enough to win me over.
Those last 6 games or so since he was thrown back into action have been a revelation.
OK, some (two or three perhaps? <whistle> <laugh>) on here may point to a few misplaced kicks into touch and possibly being at fault for the Enzo shot, but otherwise he has shown a calm demeanour, pulled off some brilliant point-saving saves, has dominated his area and his distribution for 98% has been safe and secure.
I'm not sure what the financial situation will allow in the market for us this summer, but if the purse strings are tight and we could pick up a really good, end-of-career, keeper ( like a Friedel, Vorm or Cudicini ) then I wouldn't be rushing out to spend £50-70m+ on a 'name'. There are far more important targets to aim for.

But if we were going to invest in a keeper - and yes, I know I sound like a broken record - but Caoimhin Kelleher would still be at the top of the list, along with Dean Henderson. The latter probably easier to entice away from his club as long as Palace don't win the ECL.

One thought for a keeper: we clearly need a Friedel/Hart/Forster so there's some experience that can be useful on the bench, on the training pitch and in the dressing room

I've seen Karl Darlow mentioned as a suggestion, as he's a free agent this summer

I've not seen anything in Kelleher that makes me think he's amazing. He may be better than Kinsky at the moment but Kinsky got huge potential and needs to play games and I will say with confidence he will at the very least match Kelleher in ability soon enough if not bypass.

Austin needs to go though...waste of space

Given Kinsky's tecent form, I'd put finding a GK upgrade behind a top ball playing central midfielder and some forwards who are able to put the spherical object in the space between the 3 wooden objects.

If we're bringing in Senesi and Robertson on frees and getting Vuskovic back, spending £200m+ on three such players would improve us so much more than bringing in 6 or 7 squad players. We've done that bollocks and we're overflowing with that level of mediocrity.

Quality, quality, quality. No more repeating the mistakes of the last decade.

This would have been a howler if it had gone in. Camera save.
