Ehab is actually bang on the money, the only team who haven’t lost or been expelled. I’d half debate telling the EFL to **** off and stepping out the game, it’s a ****ing joke we are playing against a team who have lost. If we lose do we get a second bite at the cherry since what has happened has also effected us? If we win or lose my love or care for this game has all but disappeared. It’s a ****ing complete disgrace and the one side who have played by the rules and not LOST are getting punished for it.
It’s the thought of Lewie picking up that cup isn’t it
It’s killing you

Anyone ever used st Albans to commute in? Thinking there are i reckon Stanmore might be packed.

Appreciate if means a train and tube.
Stopped in St Albans for two of our previous Wembley appearances. There is a direct rail link to Wembley from there, from memory one was a slow train ( stopping at every station) and the other was an express. Also got a train home from central London to St Albans at daft o'clock at night/morning after our FA Cup Final. Lovely town too, bit like, but not as good as Beverley.

I aren’t sure that’s true when it comes to an issue that has lasted the duration of the season. The issue was brought to attention before the game and by Boro themselves, so they was essentially playing with a get out of jail free card. Call it before the game and put Boro to the final then no issues but the cowards have let it go ahead and Boro are out, two teams left and one is expelled. Hull City last team standing.

In mid season their game v Southampton would have been postponed, the hearing concluded and Southampton kicked out without a game being played. Given the timescales they weren’t afforded that luxury, hence the game still went ahead as otherwise postponing the semi final, should Southampton not have been expelled, would have meant their game taking place now and the final being pushed back probably to June. They didn’t take that risk.

The full written decision from the independent panel is now out. It is pretty merciless on Southampton, calling out their awful behaviour. BUT it does not declare Boro the winner of the first leg so City clearly have a legal case — the play off final under EFL rules should between the winners of the play off semi finals. We still need to do it on the pitch, but if we don’t it will get interesting. https://images.gc.eflservices.co.uk/0a0e87d0-5538-11f1-ab88-f930a57d19ce.pdf

Southampton statement on play-off final refunds:

"Southampton Football Club has today begun the process of issuing full refunds for all tickets and official travel bought by fans for the Championship Play-Off Final, as well as all booking fees.

"Refunds will be returned to the original method of payment. Due to the volume and following advice from our ticket provider, we understand that refunds should be in fans’ accounts within 10-14 working days."

Under the circumstances, the refunds should be in peoples accounts within 10-14 minutes.

Does it really need to take 10 - 14 days

Anyone know of the bridge will be open in the morning to the stadium from Argyke St?
Wouldn't surprise me if the gate was closed. It was closed for the Acun Q&A the other week. I walked right down the path only to find it closed and had to go all the way back and round to Anlaby Road. No idea why it's even still there. The thing should be taken down for good.

We are where we are, but a mate of mine Newcastle supporter so he's ok, said, if it had been the League Cup semi final (not FA Cup) and a team was caught spying, there would be an immediate expulsion. The factor here is the global screening, the money generated from the fixture, Skys demands, sponsors demands, adverts sold etc.

We'll win 3-0 anyway...

Not sure how to post this as a link (sorry) but just came across a really interesting piece on youtube analysing Southampton’s position. If interested, search ‘Business of Sport - the breakdown The full ompact of Southampton’ Playoff Disqualification’ I found it fascinating & really undermines Soton’s position. Looking forward to the game now, what will be will be. UTT
