I sadly don’t think there is a way to get Enzo, Brobbey and Wilson in the team. And Enzo is the one from those theee who has to start.
He was your right but we kind of already knew it as he was at Hull 2 years earlier and got 1 goal in about 30 games the exact same he got for us.
Mind you his one goal he spun a couple of Chelsea defenders and lashed one past Petr Cech so he could have his moments just maybe once a season.
Yes but the place he went said the same about the deal! They couldn’t believe they got Altidore for Defoe! Sometimes it just doesn’t work for a player somewhere, and those two were the prime example
FOUR years ago, Luke O’Nien was lining up at Morecambe on the final day of the season to help Sunderland claim the victory they needed to guarantee a place in the League One play-offs.
On Sunday, the centre-half is set to be back in the Black Cats’ starting line-up for another season-ending encounter. This time, though, the potential prize on offer at the final whistle is rather different.
If Sunderland beat Chelsea at the Stadium of Light on Sunday afternoon and Brentford fail to beat Liverpool at Anfield, O’Nien and his team-mates will have secured European qualification for only the second time in their club’s history. From Morecambe to Moldova. Or maybe Macedonia. Either way, it has been quite some journey
“I’d love it,” said O’Nien, when asked about the prospect of making it into either the Europa League or Conference League. “I've been doing interviews for seven, nearly eight years at this club - I did quite a number in League One - so to have people ask me a question about European football just kind of shows how far this club's come.
“This [Sunday’s win at Everton] was kind of like a semi-final, setting up next week’s final. That will be a tough game, and there's still a lot to play for with many, many clubs. We're going to enjoy the [Everton] win, then when we’re back in, there's going to be a lot of focus on watching it back, seeing how we can get better and improve and then get ready for next week.
“I think it’s always important to dream, and when you start to bridge that gap, it’s like, ‘Whoa’. At the start of the season, not many people would have backed this squad to do what they've done. But I think, slowly, you build that belief system.”

Songs tend to emerge more at away games when people are grouped together on trains and buses ...
... miss a few games and you can easily lose track.
Some clubs only have half a dozen songs or chants and the worst seem to be those with a dreary 'club song' that they use in almost every situation … Arsenal, Spurs, Leeds, Birmingham, West Ham, Coventry, etc contrived drivel like The Eton Boating song that Jimmy Hill made them sing, awful dirge

I hate us singing about them when we’re winning. Sing about our own club! Don’t like singing anything about them anyway to be honest.

Yep,I've got to admit I've been critical of him recently,questionning his ability at this level,but he was excellent at Everton. I have said elsewhere, he's always got a mistake in him,but,when the play's in front of him,and he can see the picture,he's at his best.
I'm a big believer that the pace and physicality we've brought in have helped us to do so well this season. O'Nien has shown that being able to just play football very well and to maximise your potential is also huge. Him, Xhaka, Le Fee are excellent role models and that's before you get onto Alderete, Mukiele and Reinildo.
Totally agree mate. It's proof that players can improve and become better players, if they have better players around them. When I played,many years ago now,at a decent standard,non-league, we signed an ex-pro who transformed our play........every single one of us became better players almost overnight. Bringing in someone like Xhaka is a masterstroke.....almost everyone ups their game and reaches a level they never knew they had.
