Oh absolutely, I'm speaking as a fan first and foremost - rather than a businessman.

I'm not the type to not want promotion - of course I do - but equally more Championship is also fine. But I understand the money could be transformative.

Promotion, even with instant relegation, would set us up to compete at the top end of the championship for several years. Without sounding pessimistic, I just can’t see us being in this position again anytime soon should we lose

Kind of feel the same. On the other selfish point of view will I have the chance to see City at Wembley again. Long term it’s best for the clubs future so I’ll take the auto promotion but I want my money back from someone <laugh>

Or some have thumbed their nose at it already due to the shenanigans going on with the EFL and this Committee and aren't prepared to take a risk on transport and accommodation.

As an aside and partially related,does anyone have any knowledge of how Southampton's sales are progressing given their situation(albeit they're a great deal closer and a cancellation wouldn't affect them as much as it would us)?

I don’t know if these were on sale from the get go or not but they’re prime seats on the half way line for a lot of people so would be surprising they’d hold on to them til last.

The central blocks always go on sale last, it's in case one team sells more then the other and they can allocate blocks accordingly.
