Because it would be half the price of building a new one regardless .Why would they buy a stadium that's double the capacity they need?
Even if they built one of 15,000 it would cost a hell of a lot these days

I'm sure they'd rather play in a full stadium than a half empty one, plus they're not short of a few quid apparently.Because it would be half the price of building a new one regardless .

It would be well in excess of £100 millionI'm sure they'd rather play in a full stadium than a half empty one, plus they're not short of a few quid apparently.
Wrexham got £24 million in a grant paid by us the taxpayer..It would be well in excess of £100 million
It was actually £18m and they may well have to repay some of it.Wrexham got £24 million in a grant paid by us the taxpayer..

No.Was there any mention of next seasons kit and why we had a serious lack of merchandise this season??
No but Acun confirmed in a previous Q&A that we’re moving on from Kappa and there have been rumours that we’re going with Oxen for the foreseeable future. Another rumour is that Les, a City fan who has a blog and several social media accounts called ‘Hull City Kits’, is working with Oxen on the designs for next season. Was there any mention of next seasons kit and why we had a serious lack of merchandise this season??
The £3.8m wasn’t for any particular purpose. A councillor was querying as it was given without any specific purpose being mentioned. Which, does seem a trifle odd.It was actually £18m and they may well have to repay some of it.
The grant was towards the regeneration of the area, but £3.8m of it was used for a new pitch, which wasn't what it was intended for.
Odd! it's down right incompetent! The £3.8m wasn’t for any particular purpose.
It's only money, somebody else's...Odd! it's down right incompetent!
Im about to launch a coaching product (unrelated to this) with 2 former players, one ex City and another one who also owns an AI company. He has recently developed an amazing ai driven coaching aid. You wear it in your ear and when your session is breaking down or you need quick ideas to progress it you simply talk to yourself about how youre feeling and the ear piece starts suggesting things you can say or do to improve the session.Re AI for coaching the ? may not be as daft as it sounds. Its very good in coming up with training plans for individuals and I am pretty sure it can do the same for teams. I was surprised how good it was for even more esoteric (at least in some peoples minds) sports. I wingfoil (a lot) and have been at it for 6 years when it first started so it still relatively new. So i was suprised when I started asking it ? about Wingfoiling techinques when it gave me very good answers. So I asked it where it got its info from and it indicated that it got it from some of the industries notables and it coupled that with its extensive knowledge of:
Aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, mechanics (balance and motion), fluid dynamics, force/vector physics, energy transfer, and neuroscience (motor control and balance) all at the PHd level![]()
The ex Hull KR CEO has gone to Oxen, he’s buddies with our CCO so the deal is almost inevitable. No but Acun confirmed in a previous Q&A that we’re moving on from Kappa and there have been rumours that we’re going with Oxen for the foreseeable future. To be honest I'd be happier if we went to Hummel or Errea .Didn't Acun buy Kappa(Turkey) and we still couldn't get a reasonable amount of shirts supplied in time
I really hope we don't end up with Oxen or Castore , Kappa were bad enough
I’m not thrilled about Oxen either. I think City are going with them because it’s cheaper and because they’re local. City also want bespoke kit designs and that rules out the likes of Adidas who use cookie cutter templates. The ex Hull KR CEO has gone to Oxen, he’s buddies with our CCO so the deal is almost inevitable.
It’s a proper tinpot operation, poor kit designs, terrible quality, constant issues with production, there’s a reason no club above League One uses them. It’s such a downgrade from the days of adidas and Umbro.
He bought the licence for Turkey, he doesnt own anything other than that. Chances are that licence is either up for renewal or he will give it up.It doesn't make sense that we're moving away from a supplier that Acun owns in the first place.
