Maybe clutching at straws here but..

our next game is Leicester who have 1 win in 10
Oxford vs Wrexham - Oxford are very good at home recently.
Derby are shockingly bad away from home and their next 2 games are away.

But we have to start winning again...

I do think it’s possible Derby lose to Norwich and Wrexham don’t beat Oxford but we won’t get to the playoffs unless we win 2 more games imo

Poodle alert - we're 6th by 2 points - we're under a transfer embargo- 3 games to go.and it's all in our hands still. - a few 'big' teams are nowhere near the top half - enjoy the ride - getting mullahed every week and having VAR **** up every celebration isn't the be all and end all - we've competed this year, we've had some great results, we've also had a few that are pants - no one thought we'd be where we are - we've over achieved and credit to all Involved in getting us here with something still to fight for

Yes but a few weeks ago we were 6 points clear.

Of course we’d have taken 7th/8th at the start of the season but you wouldn’t have at the end of Feb. Things change.

Agree with this. But I worry that if we don’t finish in the top six (ideally we now need wins on Tuesday and Saturday to secure it without needing a result from Norwich) Sergej will be hooked and we start the rollercoaster again.

If it were my call and we could raise the money, I'd be getting Zambrano and then (Zap) Brannagan from Oxford United. But only after we'd got a proper #6 in. Quite like that Ebou Adams at Pompey, he gets stuck in.

Always liked Brannigan and he’s one of the reason they do so well. Don’t he have a high throw and has a whopper of a long strike on him. Would be cheap as well.

So .. Tuesday we beat Leicester and Norwich beat Derby. That takes Norwich out of the equation and Derby 6 behind 2 games left ..
Wrexham beat Oxford so still 2 points behind us

Next weekend we draw with Charlton, Derby out of the running, Wrexham lose to Coventry, 3 points behind last game of season to go …
We have Norwich (on holiday), Wrexham have Boro … it’s in the bag boys and girls

I do agree, the embargo hasn't helped the quality, but did we REALLY need to bring in Dowell when we could have kept Akintola in the squad? I know they are different players and play in different positions but it just feels like a signing we made for the sake of it.
Sergej wanted a #10 specifically and he targeted Dowell. Not sure how he was ever going to fit in very often when we have so many other options who always start, but maybe the plan was always to have him as an impact sub for when we need a goal. Regardless, Akintola is irrelevant, even if he was in the squad we'd have hardly seen him, he's way down the pecking order now.

I'm generally positive and not one to overreact after a game. But my feeling looking back over the season is that it hasn't been enjoyable very often. Very few comfortable wins. Doesn't help that I don't make away games at the moment which is obviously not the team's fault. Some of the best days at home have been scraping 3-2 wins with late goals against relegation fodder; euphoric at the time but in hindsight not very impressive that those are standouts. Even when we've gone 2 ahead like against Swansea or Leicester we ended up hanging on to scrape a 2-1 and breathing a sigh of relief at the end rather than really enjoying it. Yet another season of watching away fans have a lovely day out in our stadium week after week while we go home frustrated. Just hasn't been fun at all and I'm sick of feeling like that.

A very disappointing result and performance, particularly second half. It's clear the midfield is, and has been, our problem area.

Crooks playing deeper with Amir doesn't work, I thought when Collyer came in and played very well against Coventry, we had found an alternative to Slater, who incidently has been a big miss since being out. But Collyer seems to be like delicate China, easily broken.

We need to start finding some form quickly, let's hope with Slater & Gilo back, we can get the balance of the team better again.

As it has been said all we need to do is match both Derby & Wrexham's results, but we need to find a way of winning at Lesta, which will also give the team a psychological boost for the remaining game.
