I wouldn't bother playing a striker if it's Daka or Ayew. They have proven themselves to be ineffective. Just play the 11 best players in the squad and see what they can create. It won't happen, but we are now at the point of no return and have nothing to lose.

Here's what doesn't make sense - we were so much better at Sheff Wed when he brought Ayew on and played him behind the striker - and Richards looked dangerous when brought on for Daka - Monga also looked lively in place of the continually underwhelming Mavididi - So why not start against Swansea with the 'effective' line-up that finished that game? - the team that turned that game and came close to winning it. There are also two young strikers at the club scoring goals for fun at U21 level who are being ignored - whilst Liverpool and Arsenal are giving game time to kids (as young if not younger than ours) who are scoring and making a real impact at a much higher level.

Instead it was the same old, same old in terms of 'offence' including the momentum numbing, slow motion combination of Skipp and Winks in the engine room.

Rowett is stuck in a Groundhog Day rut which includes incessant gum chewing that makes it look that we've hired some rough estate chav as manager rather than a commanding leader with any tactical nous.

Games have almost run out. We are sleep walking into League One with a whimper.

If Portsmouth can pull off results like that then well done to them. It would be nice to see us doing the same.

Our survival has been in our own hands and we have demonstrated that we just aren't good enough as a team. In fact, we aren't good enough as a club - all the way from the top down. Unless something changes I can look forward to watching us at Brackley Town in a couple of seasons.

Nothing like going out with a whimper. Should have been fighting for our lives and our best two players were centre halves. Even the ref (who was shocking) had a better game than most of our lads. Thank God we will lose a number of these players out of contract. Sack the board!

Never in my dreams! did i ever think that Lincoln ( no disrespect) would be playing in a higher league than us, can't wait till next season when we will be playing Bromley. Be nice to see all our stars depart for pastures new and in all honesty there is not one that i would want us to keep! and i would also love JR to go as well.

Winks telling fans to fck off isn't a great look, either.

The sooner he is gone the better for all ... it's no coincidence that he's been at loggerheads with successive managers - he's a good technical player but he's shown scant real commitment to the club throughout his stay - the refusal to stay over at what is the equivalent of a 5 star hotel in order to try and build camaraderie/ team spirit in a time of dire need tells you all about him ... he's a footballing mercenary ... fair enough, go find another 'employer'...

Resorting to hoof ball rather than playing football isn't going to get us anywhere. The ball spent more time off the pitch than on. No composure. Absolutely pathetic.

What was Rowett waiting for before he decided to introduce his substitutes? If we'd overrun the opposition in the first half and been unlucky not to score then I can understand keeping the same players on after half time. But we were totally ineffective. He should have brought them on at half time, tried to get ahead in the game and put pressure on Portsmouth, not wait until we go a goal behind and then ask for a reaction. One of our worst of all time tacticians. Might as well stay away from the club because he has a net negative benefit while he's here.

Think the club should show some balls and relieve Rowett of his duties, even now ... it's just not worked - if anything, we have got worse since he took over.

He appears oblivious to the fact that the full backs are defensively a liability and have been targeted by opposition coaches accordingly... and rather successfully.

It's not 'experience' alone that gets you out of a hole - some is good - but it's mainly balls, ability and a lack of fear - and kids have the latter in bundles. His stubborn refusal to change a hugely disappointing forward line is a large contributor to our current predicament... and damning when you have prolific goal scorers like Ochere and Hutchinson in the U21s.

It's hugely frustrating because we are stumbling awkwardly towards relegation rather than having 'given it a real go'.

The Rowett appointment certainly hasn’t worked, in his defence he hasn’t been able to sign any players, and the ones he’s inherited have proved they’re not up to it either. Who do we go with next season? Birmingham fans are getting fed up with Chris Davies who is familiar with our squad as he was Rodgers assistant, plus he got Birmingham out of league one last year.
How do we go about recruitment? I can’t see us doing a lot seeing the mess we’re in financially, so what will the team look like? We’ve got plenty of young talent we can utilise that we’re all aware of but they’ll need some experience with them. Vestegaard will still have a year left on his contract, as much as I dislike him he could be a steadying influence. Choudhary will be a useful member of the squad as he’s quite flexible in the positions he can play In.
With all the players out of contract who I expect won’t be offered new ones and loan players returning to their clubs I can’t think of many more senior players. Skipp and Mavididi come to mind, but will they want to play league one? We’ll probably be stuck with them as no one will want them, I only see Fatawu as an asset who we can sell to raise significant money. Monga is another who seems to be on the big clubs radars, but hopefully we can convince him to stay with the prospect of more regular game time.
It’s all an embarrassing mess which should never have come about, the people who have got the club where they are have all probably been rewarded very well financially and will swan off into the sunset without giving the fans a second thought.

Just thought Id pop in and wish you lot all the best in League one next season. Guess you wont be singing many Leeds songs in your dressing room over coming week. Karma is a wonderful thing

Thanks ... and good luck in your semi-final against Chelsea; sure most of us would want James Justin to have a chance of a second FA Cup final medal ...

Gotta take the rough with the smooth in footie - the highs and the lows - many of us won't mind another season in League One if it means we get rid of the highly paid piss takers... and of course, the last decade has been a blast ... Premier League title, FA Cup winners, Q/F of the Champions League, Semi-finals of the Europa Conference... some clubs highlight will have been just to get to a FA Cup semi final in all that time ... ;)

Do keep in touch ...

City can make even more claims.

True ... but in the last decade, only them, Chelsea and Liverpool... who'd have thought it eh? ... what are the odds? - I'd say well over 5000/1... ;)
It may well be that City will get their day in the dock, what then of their titles and cups ?

My point was that the past and present has fostered a system where cheats prosper, until they get caught, your rightful penance is now.

If Citeh lose trophies they've won on the pitch because some spreadsheet jockeys take exception to their success being predominantly based on spending the most money; the single biggest factor that has influenced footballing success over the entire 200 year history of the games - then the game has truly gone.

... and will the vast majority of fans really think the redistribution of every trophy Citeh have won (to obviously inferior football teams) really 'count'? I know I wouldn't - in fact, I'd be quite embarrassed for my club to be awarded any such 'success'.

'Cheats' ? - there are no performance enhancing drugs or bent officialdom involved here - simply better football teams facing being stripped of trophies in a poorly disguied scheme aimed at limiting genuine competitiveness in the game by inhibiting the emergence of 'new kids' that might disrupt a long established cartel of richest (biggest) clubs.
