The disrespect they showed after beating us in the cup hasn’t half come back to bite them in the arse.

That for me sparked it all off again. We were down in leauge one for years, they were taken over, doing well, and there was an opinion of "Meh" when it came to them.... then they take a photo on the pitch to take the piss, that was a moment of "okay you ****ers, like that is it"?

Just in. I'll read all this later, and I think I might enjoy it!

Just a stunning display in that second half. Young lads almost strutting their stuff against what looked like an increasingly terrified, hundreds of millions of pounds worth of opposition. It made me think, despite quite a lot of beer.

In 1898, Marie Curie discovered radium, a staggering achievement that amazed the world.

Not long after that Mafeking was relieved.

A few years or so later the Wright brothers got a plane to stay in the air for long enough to change the world.

And things kept happening. Big things. Some nutter killed the Archduke Ferdinand and started a world war.

And the stock market crash caused a world wide recession, helping a maniac with a toothbrush moustache to power in Germany.

Who started another war, which they also lost. And then somebody invented the transistor, which changed the world even more than the plane, or even the black car that Henry Ford made for everyone.

It still kept happening. The Communists built a big wall.

The Americans sent a few blokes to the moon and fetched them back, the sixties were mental and fab. We won the World Cup. The Beatles said hello to everyone and the boffins turned television into colour (if you were posh).

All sorts of stuff. That wall came down, someone made this internet thing we all use. Most people stopped wearing flares and they somehow stopped pipe smoking.

But all of this, and much more than many could think of has slowly occurred over the last 128 years.

But what hasn't happened is one of us going unbeaten in eleven league games against the other.

And it will never happen again. This is a wound that will never heal.

HTL.

Got home half an hour ago after sitting on the Edinburgh train surrounded by Mags ...

... loved every minute sitting there in my R&W shirt.

Now I'm watching the match again, with a lovely glass of rum and ice, feeling that glow again.

Even better that I left Scotland without a ticket and strolled past all the Mags, the Mag stewards and the Mag coppers <laugh>
Smug you are a legend

Well said mate.

We knew we were a lower league club fighting to get back up, no need to rubbish us in a cup game ...

... they're paying for it now and will already be dreading the next derby.

Dunno how you do it Nev

Roefs, Mukiele, Ballard, Reinildo, Cirkin, Le Fee, Traore, Angulo, Mundle, Isidor and Mayenda.

A team of players we didn't field from the start today, mostly due to injury.

Its absolutely astonishing how far we have come, that we managed to acquire such players, got them playing. Then today, we had at least 5 first teamers missing from the starting XI.

And beat the visitors.
