I fancy Wrexham have blown now.... Southampton are on a run....
Southampton will be playing Saturday/Tuesday throughout April, and against some of the top teams.

I’m amazed Wrexham are in the top six, they’ve looked bang average three times against us.

Keep an eye on Derby.

I thought the gaffer got his tactic spot on, the subs did upset the rhythm a bit which left us sitting back a bit too much, but apart from conceding a softish goal we bossed the game.

Drameh looks to have nailed the RB slot for the time being, I thought the back 3 McNair/Egan/Hughes worked well, and Millar even though not in his favoured position did okay until Kabore came on, but the gaffer quickly saw the problem and moved Drameh to marshall him.

Slater and Amir are looking much better these days in midfield, and Joffy is getting back to his best.

Koumas turning out to be a inspired signing on loan, the Brummy fans were not enamoured, but clearly the gaffer is getting the best out of him.

Olly was off colour apparently, but as always gave his all. He should have taken the penalty, I see on X he has sacked Joffy off for the future.<laugh>.

We need to keep the samelevels of performance over the next 3 games as all are fighting for staying up.

In defence of TT Bus 1 (I wasn't on it but have been in the past) those 'regulars' will be at every away game regardless of geography and crap Sky KO times. I would suggest reserving your seat is the least you could expect for your loyalty. I've been on the bus a few times and just sit further down the aisle. It's only an issue on TT if you're a large group and turn up 5 minutes before it's due to depart and can't sit together. Itf there's more than one bus going then just book Bus 2.

i know there was some jokey comments about Drameh responsible for all 3 goals against Millwall, but that goal last night was partly down to poor defending from him wasnt it?
i know hes worried about the man behind him, but if you can see somebody 3 yards in front of you completely unmarked in front of goal, you have to go to them dont you?

spot on - Ajayi needs to sort himself out as he's an accident waiting to happen at the moment - maybe he's always been an accident waiting to happen as I remember him needlessly giving away a penalty early on

I do think it is a weak league this year, helped by the fact Leicester are poor, Southampton started very poorly and Ipswich haven’t blown away the division as I expected.

Millwall, us and Wrexham probably don’t make the play offs in many Championship seasons, but we’ve all been very consistent at picking up points

The play offs are there to be won for any team this year, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s one of those rare years when the final is 5th v 6th. I expect Coventry to go up then one of Millwall, Boro and Ipswich to join them. The 3rd is anyone’s guess out of us, Wrexham, Southampton and the two that miss out on automatics.

Too close to call.
Southampton on one hell of a run. In their last 9 games, they've won 7 drawn 2 lost 0. That's some form coming into the last 1/4 of the season.
I expect Boro and Coventry to go up.
I'd then fear Southampton, and Ipswich if Philogene returns (which he is expected to do shortly) and they keep their other key players fit.
I'd really fancy our chances against Wrexham and Millwall, but with 2 games in hand on some including us, Southampton are going to replace 1 of the current top 6. Of course, they'll now get battered by West Brom tonight, which was the whole purpose of this post to tempt that fate :emoticon-0112-wonde

This season is our best chance at promotion becuase of how weak the league is...Until next season when everyone says the same thing again.
I think next season will be far trickier. Birmingham, Wrexham, Southampton, sheff utd, Norwich, the three relegated clubs, it'll be stacked.

They only have one game in hand on Wrexham.

qn on McBurnie, and only slightly tongue in cheek, but when was the last time he got a decision from a ref? Compared to the first half of the season where he won us a lot of free kicks refs in the past month or two seems to only give stuff against him, v frustrating

Totally agree. It’s like they’ve has a meeting about him or us as a club. They soon get the book out for us, Lundstrum against Millwall for instance, their lad polaxed someone on an advantage no booking, Lundstrum made the same tackle the ref carded him straight away. Millwall looked like they were playing. Rugby League at times.

Oli did a great job at both ends under those circumstances. He’s made his contribution and Sergei pulled him to save him for WBA. He may have been disappointed but he grafted and fair play to the fella.

Without him in our own box, or Panda smashing into him we’d concede a set piece every week. We aren’t a very big side.

We got a reasonably soft penalty against Wrexham though.

Agree, every time City look like doing something this old chestnut is wheeled out......'it's a weak league, etc etc' even when we reached our first and only ever FA Cup Final we heard....'they've had an easy draw....etc etc etc'.
Remember after the Championship Play off Final v Bristol City, first person who spoke to me in the pub on arriving back into Hull said 'You were lucky'
All I can say is that we must have played in some very strong leagues and been extremely unlucky in the other 120 odd years this club have been in existence to have avoided winning anything.
Weak league my arse.

They’ve got Coventry, Ipswich, Norwich, Wrexham and Derby coming up so we’ll see how decent they really are I guess.

I’m quite happy with the fixtures we have left, it really is a golden top 6 chance for us now. For about the first time this season I’m fully expecting us to be in the play offs.

You watch we’ll now mess it all up.

Who has decided they can reserve it?

They got on first, put a load of reserved signs down for people that weren’t there yet and then asked the steward to move somebody that was sitting there for a pair not yet at the coach.

Went to a game once with some of this group when they used to tick people onto the coach before actual stewards starting doing it and they were taking alcohol off everybody else whilst they themselves had a crate at the back of the bus.

To be fair, I mentioned it last night and we had a bit of fun on here with it and hopefully made some people laugh. But there was an air of entitlement about *some* of that group. Not most of them. But snapping at people on the stairs and telling the police officer the bus isn’t leaving when it’s been told to move to let the rest of the coaches out.
