I think we need to go back to a similar team we had throughout Diarra's injury with Enzo playing in his position and Talbi and Angulo out wide. Diarra looked quality before his injury but he's been very poor since coming back.

i want to drop Diarra into it tbh.

We'll sign a good 5/6 again and theyll most likely be Mukiele level type players, ready to go calibre rather than project players.

It isnt headloss either, it just shows how far away we are and how well weve actaully done in the league.

Sadiki, Reinildo, Mukiele, Xhaka, Brobbey are essential in this side, the middle 3 there are 'elite' and sadiki is the one 'project' signing, like Roefs i suppose, who has hit the ground running and looks the business.
Can agree with most of that list. Stand out one for me was Geertruida played terrible and looked like he couldn't give a ****.

Thats embarrassing. Even if we didnt have all our injuries that was the sort of line up i would still have expected for this game. And it should have been more than enough to win comfortably. Maybe our squad is not as strong as we thought. When we went 1-0 down i still expected a win. To not even score is diabolical. Well done Port Vale. Judging by their league position that was probably their easiest game this season.

I was genuinely worried when I saw the pitch and remembered what the playing style was like in L1 but thought we should still have more than enough quality to adjust to the conditions, even with the missing players. I couldn't have been anymore wrong.

It's been a while since we have looked completely clueless and been bullied.

I'd be ****ing pissed off if we had lost that when we were in league one I don't have words to describe how pissed off I feel right now. Today everyone of them was a sack of ****. There keeper didn't even make a half decent save.

Embarrassed and ****ing Pissed off the season is over nowt to get excited about till August now.
He made a couple good saves tbf

Every one in the club underestimated Port Vale. They thought of we turned up we would win and if we were playing football manager we intentionally would but their is the real world! It was always going to be a battle before we could even play our game and we didn't game

Can’t even say it was a traditional “ it happens “ fa cup upset. They outplayed us .
I can understand not bringing Xhaka on earlier. I can understand bringing him earlier. I cant understand bringing him on with 5 minutes to go?
6 minutes added time

Should be all us and we just can’t do anything
What I thought . Commentators words should have been “ rekentless”. “ wave after wave “. etc. yet we barely got near their area let alone goal

rlb didnt adapt

at half time not only did we need to move it quicker, but just get it forward, good deliveries into the box.

We tried to do our pedestrian centre back possession in a game like today on a pitch like that.

theres no way to sugar coat that, getting beat is one thing and yes port vale were up for it, but we had so many visibily poor performances its hard to let that go unaddressed.

I'm not coming in here to kick the lads when they're down, but that is a piss poor result that mind. Last season when we were sorted for the play offs there was an air of "that'll do", and I it worked but the form was honking. Now we're safe it's the same vibes, "that'll do".Same seems to be happening again.Theres some players, no naming names, who just aren't performing. I will say I'm still waiting for our 30 million pound man to show up. And before anyone says "aye but remember where we were", I'll say 2 things,1. I don't need to remember where we're were because I was there in the Championship, then leauge 1, then the championship etc, I didn't just show up this season because we're back in the Premier league. 2. We the fans haven't set he high standards we've seen this season, the club and the players have, so where has all that gone? It shouldn't take Xhaka to come on with minutes left to try and save the day. There was enough on the pitch to do thatwithout him. I'm not pissing the bed, I'm pissed off. there was a theory that once we were safe we'll go after a cup, a cup I wasn't expecting at all, but that today was ****e.

He’s been abysmal since about mid December.

He looked good before that but since then he’s faded so badly and looks absolutely shocking physically and ability wise.

He was dipping before the Liverpool carry on but he’s bombed since then.

There is so much to be concerned about but we must remember where we were 3 years ago.

I think for once, everyone is entitled to have a go at the team today for that performance. There can be no excuses from them.
