So it’s the fans’ fault?

Which manager would you have kept? For me maybe only Jones went too early.

Obviously it isnt the fans fault, but I think some people are also too confident of the solution in their head.

I don't think it is that simple, I genuinely believe this is a pretty shambolic set of players.

In other words I am looking squarely at SR, more than any manager.

I don’t know where he is with his coaching badges at the moment but would anyone give Lallana a shot at this? I feel he would at least be more forward thinking…

I can't see Lallana ever being anything more than part of a coaching team. Doesn't exactly strike me as a manager. But I could be wrong.

Matsuki and Sesay are the other options, they just were left in Southampton instead of travelling.

And Aribo. Sesay presumably played for the U21s today instead of being called up last minute like Bragg was. But realistically Aribo and Matsuki should have travelled with the first team with the bug going around, particularly given Jander and Downes were both 50/50, and it's a pretty bloody important position on the pitch. Throwing in youth last second only works with a settled and confident team around you. Not the shambles we put out every week. You're just setting them and the team up to fail.

Lallana in from now until the Int break? Sure. But we need someone like Michael Carrick in now.
Good shout but whatever happens I really hope we keep hold of Lallana for the future. I honestly believe he will be a top manager. I know I’ve probably set myself up there but I would at least like to see it happen.

Being Saints, a new manager will come in, play this blessed formation and team... and we will continue to be ****.

Then the fans will decide that it was a **** idea all along and there is another formation and best team and 'how cant the manager see it'.

That has happened a lot over recent years.
Genuinely don't think I've agreed with an appointment since Koeman. Even Ralph I was a little iffy on purely because of how much he was compared to Klopp at the time and it's always a concern when a manager is just compared to another manager. Still seemed fine because of how **** Martin was but it always felt like a risk.

A very very large amount of SRs appointments and transfers have been utter ****. And that's a concern. Transfers particularly.

So many people here defended SR transfers this window.

Has it? it's not rocket science to play the best players in their natural position or to give the particular forward line (minnions) the best service possible.
Playing WBs means that the flow of attacks come from wide areas instead of through the middle.

SR won't sack WS as it will highlight yet another example of their hapless ownership and choice of senior management.

Popped in to Sainsbury's to buy some ridiculously strong painkillers because I'm 90% sure I tore my rotator cuff last night. I've had no mobile phone reception for the last 45 minutes.

I should have stayed ****ing in there.

SR out

Not seen the last few games for one reason or another. But the feeling of turning it around feels more and more distant. Still making almost sabotage decisions! Desperate for a win I guess. To be a Saints fan eh.

So what do you propose? Keep Still?

I am indifferent over Still, although I think he had an absolute dog today.

I won't care too much if he goes, i just don't think sacking him is going to make much difference either.

Maybe I am being too pessimistic, but I think its going to be a rough season whoever is in charge. SR shat the bed (again) in the summer and no matter who is in charge they will be picking up the rubble.

Outside of a select few the squad looks like a steaming pile of dross, no matter what some of them may have done before at other clubs.

Dunno, maybe they're trying to beat last year and want to concede any hope of the league by November! It was so nice to support a club that just threw in the towel in ****ing December the spineless ****s.

Just remember everyone, they had 8 months to plan this season and this is what we've got!
