Yep. The excuses are the same every time. Chances get missed in every game, even by the best players in the world. Losing today in that manner, after dreadful results in the two previous games, is totally unforgivable.
Hate to be that guy but if this season has been a surprise to anyone then where the hell were you pre season? Did you all suddenly think one of the worst teams in PL history were there by accident? Did you all miss the abhorrent pre season I was repeatedly told "didn't matter". We've been **** FOR YEARS. SR and 9 years of utterly terrible recruitment or hiring a worse version of the player you're selling, as well as just selling any player who is remotely good or hit any form, this is what you get. This is only a surprise if you've had your head firmly planted in the "everything is going to be okay eventually" crowd that has been on here since the start of the season. To anyone with eyes and ears, this is going exactly as expected.
I think Stills done too much damage with this result to last until the next International break now. I wanted him to stay because I was hopeful he'd develop, and so would the new players.
"He had 3 good seasons in Ligue 1 before joining us. Regardless of how he's been for us it's hardly a left field appointment." SaintElliot I know you're the most positive poster on this forum but your views are slowly becoming delusional. Will Still is so out of his depth that it's actually insanity to continue with him - those decisions today were totally baffling and ultimately cost us a very scrappy but winnable game.
Yeah of course, but we've missed the 2nd most big "chances" in the league. Obviously, if you're not scoring it's about keeping the shoals out, which we can't do either.
Dogshit and utterly predictable. Despite Arma's missed chances we never once had control of the game in that second half. Blackburn deserved the win imo. And they were pretty horrific tbh. Sack the board, sack the board, sack the board
And we had this conversation in August. This isn't the first time that Sesay hasn't been in the squad, despite us being short in that area. Either he isn't ready, or Still doesn't rate him. Or both. Stephens and Robinson have both been played there. It's utterly laughable. And embarrassing.
They **** you up, your football team. They may not mean to, but they do. They annoy you with the faults they have, And add some extra, just for you. But they were ****ed up in their turn By fools in old-style hats and coats, Who half the time were soppy-stern And half at one another’s throats. Man hands on misery to man. It deepens like a coastal shelf. Get out as early as you can, And don’t let your kids be like yourself
I was just saying that bringing in an up and coming manager with 3 seasons in a Top 5 league isn't a strange appointment. It just hasn't worked out for us.
I don’t know where he is with his coaching badges at the moment but would anyone give Lallana a shot at this? I feel he would at least be more forward thinking…
Being Saints, a new manager will come in, play this blessed formation and team... and we will continue to be ****. Then the fans will decide that it was a **** idea all along and there is another formation and best team and 'how cant the manager see it'. That has happened a lot over recent years.
