I am slightly less enthusiastic about the window...

As an employment lawyer I often have to use "Project [NAME]" as the title for various of my files so that the team in the accounts department don`t see "Employment Advice re Redundancy of John Smith" when they process the billing payment...

I have historically used a number of SAFC players surnames (I`ve had Project Ballard/Hume/Patterson/Rigg/Wilson/Onion/ in the past) I am really going to struggle to use any of the new lads surnames...I can probably use a mis-spelt "Roof", maybe a "Gran", "Noah" or "Omar" but after that I`m starting to struggle...

Just opened "Project Brie" today...the clients think that the names are randomly generated...
Have you used Project BigMan yet ?

Aye he turned down 100k week of Leicester, and asked Wolves for similar.

I’d take him at about 40k.

Sounds like he has a very bad agent.

Whatever he was offered by Saudi, if anything, will not be on offer if he hasn't got a club. I like him but he is a good functional player with a goal in him, not a glamour signing, and the Saudis are pulling their horns in a bit.

If it is really true that this player turned down even £50k never mind double that, he is either wildly deluded or extremely ill advised.

He had an excellent season but at championship level. His premier league record isn’t great, a goal every 18 appearances. He’s evidently believed his own hype. Saudi will probably rescue his situation with money if not prestige but it’s a bit of a shame.

He obviously thinks we shouldn't try to avoid relegation...

Just a really outdated opinion, unfortunately. It's a romantic idea that you can keep the same team that got you promoted and "give them a year" in the Premier League but the reality is that simply doesn't work in the modern game. The gap between the Championship and EPL is far too large now. Blame Sky and the ridiculous money involved but it's simply a fact.

If you give Championship players, even the very best Championship players, a year in the Prem, they will get relegated 100% of the time. Just look at the last 2 seasons.

The squad that got us promoted would’ve struggled to get 10 points in the PL. It was vital we changed the majority of it.

Think the lad is going all the way to the top

I hope he does.

Yes, some bitterness at the time of the timing of the move, and added to by time he’d done nowt at that stage, but after Wembley? Club folklore forever.

We will always remember ‘Tommy ‘95’, I will clap my hands raw when he comes back to SOL.

Premier League football, one of the most dramatic moments in our history, them scenes, that night, that hungover flight the next day, £150million of new talent.

Aye, thank you Tommy. What a beautiful sign off.
