That is the stuff of nightmares, it really is. If that is now all gone, and he feels " free" here, he might just go nuts for us.the bloke was a victim of extortion, his best mate was shot over it, his sister in law had her car blew up, the lad has had an off season and i'm not surprised why

hahahah
I often think back to that moment when we all thought we were 2-0 down at Wembley then think of everything that's happened since and just think thank christ for VAR.
It's something 4 months ago I hated but by God it's helped us not only at at a Wembley but on Saturday as well.

Wish him well there. Injury stopped him in his early days and then promotion happened and he was never realistically having a future here.
Seems a really sound fella and looks a good move for the lad.
We may not like Boro but we will admit it’s a decent little club and it’s far bigger than Preston was for the lad.
Very true mate.
It did make me laugh, on MOTD, when the commentator said, about the Brentford disallowed goal, "It was just about offside."
No, it was offside
They keep using that phrase, 'The keeper just about kept that ball from going for a corner' etc.

And more than a few on here wanted rid of him...People grow into certain elements of jobs I think.
KS was very quickly into his stride with player and staff recruitment, but perhaps his interviews came over a little jargon based. Probably because this was a new thing he was required to do.
Now he is clearly comfortable. Articulate, informative and interesting. What a bloody signing by KLD!
Unbelievable Jeff!
I've never had the Boro " hate".
They have some arshole fans, as do we all.
But , though I don't live there which would make it different, I've spent plenty of time there and never had a minute's bother.
Great move for Boro and Browne that.
It's an age old theme - when we're doing well he's articulate and has toned down the lingo and jargon and is being more straight talking. It is weird how he always reverted to it when we were doing ****.People grow into certain elements of jobs I think.

Lived there as a student and went to a few games. They were mostly okay. There were some knuckle dragging racist arseholes but sadly they exist everywhere and recently seem emboldened to be visible again rather than lurking in the shadows. I actually have a bit of a soft spot for Boro other than when we are playing them.I've never had the Boro " hate".

I wonder what VAR would make of Eric Gates chest controls? Where it nearly always looked like he caught the ball first. The conversation about handballs has been annoying me in a similar way. It started out with really minute taps on the arm causing penalties so they changed the rules to make it a bit less ambiguous but now any handball at all seems to be up for discussion. You could catch the ball out of the air and deposit at your feet and you'd still have MOTD calling it 'contentious'. There are still some silly calls but its every single one now that gets disputed as 'where could he put his arm' - Maybe not between ball and goal!
I’m not a naysayer by any means so I will say this and hope it’s taken in the context that it should be.
Firstly I have no idea what type of player Brobbey is. And even if someone explained it to me in words of three syllables or less I still wouldn’t understand.
What I got from the interview with the Ajax bloke was that most supporters didn’t rate him and were happy to see him go.
As supporters of SAFC we have seen our club take off in ways none of us could ever have imagined. Historically we are a big football club but at my age the only success I have seen was 1973. This time around though I honestly believe that things are different and we will get back to the heights our grandparents knew.
Anyway I was digressing slightly. If we go back to 2014 we signed a player from Manchester City who had already played for England. We all thought he was going to be part of that cohort of players that would at the very least consolidate us in the top league and push us on. Well, we all know what happened.
That player left us for Blackburn Rovers. As a fanbase we were glad to see the back of him. A read of the Blackburn Rovers forums at the time would tell us that we just couldn’t get the best out of him and all it would take was their manager and coaching staff to do what we couldn’t do and get him playing at his best. He was there for a season played 21 times and moved on to Sheffield United. For the Sheffield United forums at the time, read the Blackburn Rovers forums the year before.
He played once for Sheffield United before he decided that Australia may be a better option for him. In Sydney he played for two sides over three years playing 36 times.
We all know the player I’m talking about.
I can guarantee that every club he has been at were happy to see the back of him after wanting to believe he just needed the ‘right club/manager/coach’ to bring out the best in him.
So, I sincerely hope that with Brobbey, SAFC are the club that will do that and with our current setup I wouldn’t bet against it. But let’s not wear rose tinted glasses.
And more than a few on here wanted rid of him...
