Just looked, they won their appeal and stay in the top division.
Very good listen. So nice to have a manager who talks honest and openly
- Confirms that if ban is lifted he will speak again with Acun to sign Frigan. Says he can play with McBurnie
- Gelhardt his wish. Young and ambitious player, he thinks it's a matter of time until he explodes. Says he's a second striker and not a right winger. Think's he will sign this week (Will still want Frigan as well)
- Currently negotiating with Williams
- Still wants another winger after Akintola (Seems crazy to me)
- Thinks Hughes worth £20m now, but will improve even more this season. Will go on to be clubs biggest sale and can play for a top 5 prem club
- Offers for Pandur, but he wants to stay
- Can't see anyone leaving. We had 21 outfield players training today, wants 24 minimum for season
- Doesn't understand a word Dawson says
- If ban is lifted has 2 other names (other than Frigan) he wants the club to sign. One is playing in England currently
I like that he has his own targets. Sheffield United are doing some AI-driven data model to recruit players and we obviously have the ‘brain team’ but it’s good to have a head coach who isn’t shy about identifying specific players based on his own knowledge and telling the owner he wants them. His official title might be ‘head coach’ but he’s operating more like a traditional manager who has a big say over recruitment, like Bruce.
It’s a good job, Morton’s apparently costing them £15m + add-on’s.
He continues to impress, early days and it can all go tits up, but he appears to be a winner, seems to have a definite plan, and has galvanised already a bunch of players who appeared to be strangers on the pitch at times last season. Add to this he has them being much more physical, with the additions I am increasingly optimistic about the coming season.
Tyler Sellars F going out on loan... I wonder if Geldhart comes in if Palmer is allowed to leave (Oxford were interested) ..
I’d let Palmer go. I’d happily see Gelhardt have the 10 shirt with Vaughan fighting for minutes behind
Id agree but swap Vaughan for literally anyone else (Crooks/Tinsdale)
Vaughan looks accomplished in the 10. Has impressed me the last 2 cameos. Crooks is depth / starter for all 3 midfield roles for me. Tinsdale haven’t actually seen central he just gets put out wide to fill a position

Accomplished? Come off it. Don’t really get the clamour for the kid to be honest. Quick and nippy but has no end product.
They’ve just bought a goalkeeper for 7 million and loan him to the MLS?
There’s more to it than end product. End product comes with experience and game time. He was scoring and assisting for fun for the 21s last season

Never known a player who barely plays be so scrutinised as Vaughan is. He seems to really bother people for some reason.
Hughes is obviously talented and has huge potential but I think some of the talk about him right now is a bit over the top. He has loads of desirable raw skills but his defensive outcomes aren't actually that good. There were games last season where Macca or Jones were blocking everything and saving our clean sheet, I don't think Hughes did that sort of thing as much. I think he's still yet to become that really solid defender, but as someone else said that will probably come in time.
And finally on the strikers. I don't get how we can have McBurnie, Frigan, Joseph and Destan all at the club. Maybe if we played a front two regularly but then Gelhardt obviously makes that unlikely. I agree about getting rid of Palmer if someone wants him but I still think that leaves a lot of attacking players kicking their heels if we get everyone we want.
