...or that Israel has already killed more Iranian civilians than Iran has killed Israeli ones... the close to 200 Iranian dead were not all Doctor Ibn Al Strangelove or Revolutionary Guards ...

I think this is just a commentary on Israel's superior weaponry tbh, Iran has absolutely been targeting Israeli suburbs simply not enough weapons hit their target and Israel has an extremely advanced early warning system which gives them plenty of time to reach shelters.

And the sheer amount of shelters in Israel

There is grounds to criticise Israel in the sense that it hasn't shown this precision in its operations in Gaza, albeit the two arenas are radically different.

But absolutely, without the iron dome system and the fact that by law, every residential and public building in Israel must include a fully reinforced bomb shelter, we'd be looking at hundreds of thousands of dead from the Iranian retaliation.

Yeah I think those shelters are a great idea.

What is the average cost of a property in Israel with a shelter built in...In sterling please?

One thing I notice is the amount of times people make assumptions, no one ever asks direct questions, if you support a certain side you must think like this, but actually no one has ever bothered to ask you. I think it's ****ing disgraceful what has happened, we've scraped the floor of human depravity, but it's not for me to decide the way forward, I'm a mere observer via the western media...I just wished we could turn the clock back two years, a reset, but we can't, so we are now left with a mess that will last at least one hundred years, because people will not forgive nor forget (from any side), no matter how honourable the words are. The physical scars and torment will be visible for the rest of our lives.

Yeah, but aren’t you the one who wants to bomb Iran, for a laugh or something?

Nope, not what I said at all, I said to weaken their military capability. You know as full well as I do, that Iran have been behind most the problems in the Middle East. They've got away with causing death and destruction for far too long, and I'm not just talking the **** aimed at Israel. See CK for more detail.

Edit: Ah you probably mean the bit where I gave Fosse and Piskie a menshy, sorry mate, didn't realise you'd lost your sense of humour, spending too much time on GC does that to you.

It varies wildly.

Places like Jerusalem and Tel Aviv you're looking at over a million quid for a basic 3-bed flat in a hi-rise.

Places up north and near Gaza you can pick up beautiful villas with big gardens, swimming pool etc. for around £400-500k.

The best and cheapest option is probably a caravan on a hilltop somewhere in the West Bank. You'll struggle for space, running water and electricity, but the knowledge that Fosse is boiling piss every day because of you is simply priceless.

Let me know when you plan to move and I'll pick up Ponkie for the farewell party at Gatwick.

Caravan, i'd be a real pikey then. <laugh>

Fancy spending a £M on a house only for Iran to blow it up, that's got to be some cracking Estate Agents you got out there.

Actually on the subject of Iran, you’re sort of a cross between @FosseFilberto and @Sucky

Iran saying 224 people killed since Israeli attacks, quite surprised by that number, don't know why but I am.

Not unless you’re Arab, then you don’t get one

As for ‘precision’ weapons. Israel can hit a pinpoint target 2000 miles away, but manages to level entire neighbourhoods 15km away.

Why do you think that is bro ?

Must be lovely being an Arab living in Israel….

It was filmed from a nearby Jewish town, and showed missiles and Israeli interceptors streaking across the black sky, but when a missile falls short and slams into Tamra, you can hear people around the camera rejoicing.

“To the village! To the village!” one man cries, and then several women’s voices join in, someone starts clapping and together they sing a verse that has become a Jewish extremist anthem. It consists of one line: “May your village burn” sung over and over again.

“Please write about this,” the neighbour said. “If I say anything I will have 20 police cars at my house.”

Listening to radio 4 this morning and an interview with the now recently former ‘C’ head of MI6.

He said that it was his opinion that Iran probably weren’t weaponising their enriched uranium, but were instead using that as leverage in what is now the dead in the water nuclear deal.

It makes sense from their perspective, enrich as much uranium as you can and then decommission it in return for lifts on sanctions etc.

So there is no credible intel that Iran were making a bomb, although they had the potential to develop at least a crude one.

What people need to remember though, is that Netanyahu is a warmonger, his motive is that he needs conflict to stay in power. So he will use any ruse to justify using military force.

Your capacity to describe Iran as some sort of benign and somewhat mistreated international party is astonishing.
