The striking department -goalkeeping department needs a major overhaul.

They won't lie down and surrender, knowing if results go against them they could be relegated if they lose to usHere is a eye opener
Preston have lost fewer games than Coventry-Boro-Blackburn that wets the appetite for Saturday.
Simplistic and unfair.
Our lot gave everything, it was literally men against under 15s.
.
I said to the Mrs yesterday how many times the ‘stray’ ball from a deflection or clearance found a white shirt.
Once or twice could be put down to a fluke - or luck, but almost every time it happened. Leeds hoovered up the scraps with ease. That’s because they proactively read the game perfectly, whereas we were almost entirely reactive.
The Leeds players were thinking 2 or 3 moves ahead - like a game of chess, whereas we were simply trying to cope with what came at us, without a clue about what to do next.
So the biggest bed wetter on here, agrees with a post saying to calm down? Not mine but a great post by a fellow city fan-
Just put the below in the Championship group and thought I'd put it here too. Everyone going on about the defending tonight needs to bear in mind they were defending for pretty much the whole 90 minutes against a quality side showing massive intent. I actually thought the defense and O'Leary did quite well on the whole. The problem was we couldn't keep hold of the ball up the pitch and it just kept coming back at them. Anyway...
Absolutely battered tonight by a far better team, no complaints at all. Leeds and Burnley are way above everyone else in this league, but then I guess that's what £millions in parachute payments gets you when it's well spent. Not bitter, that's just how it is. How can a club like ours compete with that? It's not just the transfers, it's more the wages that they can afford to pay to keep their top players. Leeds looked Premier ready tonight and good luck to them, I think both them and Burnley will do a lot better than the 3 that went up last season. For us, nothing has really changed. Beat Preston on Saturday and we get Sunderland in the playoffs. I think even a draw may be good enough although that might mean Sheff Utd instead. Doesn't really matter! Sheff Utd will be rightly favourites in the playoffs but they're nowhere near the level of the top 2. After that you've got a bunch of decent Championship sides who can be very good on their day. That's all well and good at this level but it's a MILE away from being competitive in the Premier League. Whoever goes up in the playoffs will be right back here in August next year, you can pretty much set that in stone. A season of misery with the reward being those parachute payments. Fun?
This league is great. Proper fans and a lot of big clubs. I'll cheer my team until the end but if that end means being here again next season I won't be shedding too many tears. Up the City!
I’m away as well, was out walking in Eire, Donegal to be precise, the scenery was picturesque, the weather was perfect. I’ll be back tomorrow afternoon in time for Saturday at the gate. Our small squad is catching up on us imo, had we spent a bit more wisely in the summer…… well who knows. Of course we aren’t ready for the PL, we never will be until we get there, then we’ll have to spend wisely, be the whipping boys for a season, take the money and hope to get a parachute payment bounce.Well for me it never happened. In Spain with yesterday no electricity, mobile, internet, TV or radio. I woke this morning to restored power and some nonsense about a thumping by Leeds. Couldn't watch or follow it so it never happened. Still only have to beat PNE on Saturday to be in the play-offs, the same as before my power went off. COYR

If we win Saturday, Preston would still need both Luton and Hull to win their games for them to be sent down.
Luton have WBA away and Hull have Pompey away.

Well done numpty bollocks at least you made me smile today
Yes.Mate lets be honest none of us expected a playoff spot with this squad none of us.
Our striking department is toothless.
Those players did not give everything.
For large periods of the game Leeds kept the ball easily because the pressing had ceased to press
City's normally reliable patterns of play did not efficiently keep the ball, and Leeds aggressively picked possession off when Bristol City did briefly have it.

Steady nerves is what we need.Boro having the best chance ? Really ?
With Boro going to Coventry and us at home to PNE, Millwall away at Burnley and Blackburn away to Sheffield United, I'd say we and Coventry have the best chance personally
At least I hope so
