I'm not actually a fan of Tuchel's football, think he's gone too defensive last 5 or 6 yrs however, I think he is perfect for international football

He sets his teams up well to be hard to beat but isn't afraid to make changes to get a positive result

He's also used to dealing with pressure n big egos

By far the best manager England could get imo

"He's not English.....The England manager should come from England".

It's not the first time England's had a foreign manager you know....remember Sven Goran Eriksson and Fabio Capello?

Didn’t agree with that either… and when that experiment failed even the FA said the England manager should be English

Just no one up to it at the moment unfortunately.

I agree in an ideal world that would be the case but we are just not creating talent in that role for some reason.

An Old Fashioned view I know, but its how I and many others feel. But good luck to the guy, no one wants success for England more than me, just wish it was with an all English team/management

Yeah it's way too corporate a world for that kind of principal based thinking. Too many people trying to protect their bloated salaries and crooked sponsorships.

Surprised Potter didn't get it, seems like the obvious best choice if they wanted to go English? Unless he's ruled out for some reason (I haven't really been following it)

Then what's the point in having a representative national team? We could bring in transfers to international football and then all the best players could play for the country willing to spend the most. Would probably be Saudi Arabia at the moment.

From a purist point of view, how does a club side represent the town or city its named after if all of the players are big name foreigners who have never been to that place before? We might as well just have touring sides with no connection to a geographical location. It wouldn't stop people having a favourite team and it might bring in bigger gates if a different side turned up at your local stadium each week.

I don't think he's helping himself sitting on his arse collecting his inflated Chelsea wages.

I really don't blame him but it's not exactly appealing for a prospective employer when you've been sat around for 18 months.

Doesn't exactly show passion for the game.

Just a guess on my part, but I think Potter wants a club job next. He perhaps feels he has a big point to prove.
