A Derby supporter saying he was concerned about getting to his seat because the lights kept going on an off <laugh>

Right, off to work.
There was a couple of people near me almost tripping up the stairs making way to their seats <laugh>

The light show didn’t do anything for me but it’s not a major deal. The youngsters present probably enjoyed it.

I was looking at some stats on wyscout this morning to see who the top performing players are in each position in the championship

We have 3 in the starting 11 of best performing players

Cirkin
O9
Mundle

Not a massive surprise on any of these tbh. O9s will be boasted by his goals but he's currently ranked as 2nd best CB in the league - one stats that really stands out is he is winning 86% of his defensive duels!!!

Cirkin rated as best LB and 2nd best full back overall. Hume is 15th overall and is 9th best RB on stats.

Mundle is now rated as the best winger and Roberts is 6th on the list - Roberts rated as 2nd best RM

Mayenda was rated in top 5 CFs but obviously missing last 2 games has dropped him to 10th

Patterson rated as 5th best GK

CMs are hard to rank as they spilt them out into CDM, CM n AM so hard to tell who is rated the best. Hackney and Mowatt are the 2 in the starting line up

In the category for CMs, Jobe is rated the best

Doesn't mean a massive about as all done based on stats but thought I'd share

The team is:
Gk vigouroux (swansea)
Rb Van Ewijk (Coventry)
Cb o9
Cb Clarke (Boro)
Lb Cirkin
RM Gnoto (Leeds)
CM mowatt (wba)
CM Hackney (boro)
Lm Mundle
CF Sargent (Norwich)
CF Maja (Wba)

If it’s a few mins before kick off it’s fine, 15mins was overkill, took until about 5mins in before my eyes went back to normal :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I thought he started poorly but grew into the game, you could say the same for most of the side last night. I was a bit nervous until that first goal went in, no worries at all after that. Comfortable.
Yeah a few poor passes behind teammates but as you said grew into the game

He isn't playing as well as he can that's for sure but he gives everything for the team and I loved how much communicating he seemed to do last night to teammates or the ref

I was in north stand, u must have ears like a bat mind m8, not a one could I hear, and like I say got a good few mates in premier and west last night, none of them mentioned it, must have been the odd dickhead, imho they should get a slap that would knock a bit of sense into them.
A sizeable minority as I say. And my hearing isn’t all that.

Mepham, Alese and Ballard always talked about, and it's true they've been great. But the one constant they've had , they've all played with o9 next to them.

O9 isn't just doing a job at CB, he's been great there and has been for a while imo

Signing Mundle is turning out to be an absolute masterstroke.

Early days but he just seems far less predictable and far more aggressive than Jackie who was close to if not the best in the league.

What a way to step forward with cash in the bank.

Look where Emiliano Martinez was earlier in his career. Now he's a World Cup winner

I only half watched as am in hospital at the moment (planned operation).

thought Mundle, Isidor and Mepham were great.

Friday is the big test for me. I don’t think we’ve been that good for the last 3-4 games and have done really well to ground out the home wins. Leeds is an altogether different proposition.
Burnley were a bigger test than Leeds I think, we passed the test !

Good to read an opposition manager not being a dick

'A tough win' - reaction

Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris said:

“It was another tough game and I think our first half was good even if we can have more control of the game, especially in possession.

“We scored after a high recovery and in this kind of game it is very important to score first.

“We scored quickly after half-time and then the game became more chaotic because they wanted to unbalance us with direct play and were very strong in duels.

“We had a good level of discipline. It’s another win at home. I would like to be more dominant in possession because we have the quality to do that, so we will work on it.”

Derby County head coach Paul Warne said:

“I didn’t think we were very good first half.

“Out of possession we were OK, in possession we weren’t very good and Sunderland were better than us. The 30-yard screamer that nearly took the net off was disappointing, we’ve given the ball away in our own half which is disappointing.

“Mistakes happen in games and we got truly punished. After the second goal we were really good, and if we got a goal when it was bouncing around the six-yard box a couple of times… we changed our shape and I thought we were in the ascendancy a bit and our substitutions had a really good effect.

“In fairness to Sunderland, they defended what they had to well.”

Burnley were a bigger test than Leeds I think, we passed the test !
We played Burnley at the perfect time. They were losing players every other day and had injuries too. Only 4 of that side who started up here will be playing regularly for them now. Burnley will be right up there, as will Leeds.

Just shows the limits of using stats only to make arguments! I wouldn't take Clarke. In fact, that Cashin last night looked more sound.
