No Smug, I think the answer is to find one that fits. We've sold our best player and not replaced his goals barring bringing in Isidor. That is truly shocking.
But we've scored seven goals in three games so far this season without this fabled centre forward....this can't possibly be true.

Felt the same from this morning. No defending it. Left it too late again. 0 excuses. Needing strikers on deadline day hasn’t worked for like 3 seasons. Why continue to do it? More annoying because we are so close to having a complete squad with a great manager (seemingly) and yet again it’s strikers we are short on.
It was time to deliver. No excuses, no looking back at the past and being wary of spending, no nonsense. It was time. We have the ammunition, we have the head coach, we have the squad. Apart from that one position. Unbelievable and inexcusable.

How do we know its his fault. Its not his money so we don't know why the deals haven't been concluded. He's done more good than bad..folk need to calm down
Samed looks like an excellent signing. I really hope Wilson is decent - I do wonder if the (deserved) negativity could have been better managed if he hadn't been billed as a striker who can also cover on the wing
It’s his ****ing job. He’s failed. He’s had 18 months to sign a main striker.
