Mental that a player has openly stated he’d rather come here than go to the Middle East for more money and our fans are on his case
I think the fact is he had a proper farewell to the fans in their last home game, where he said goodbye etc. also when he was linked and the story came out about making a decision on who to join it makes so much sense that they were gonna let him leave freely otherwise why would he “make a decision” now new owners have come in and won’t let him leave when he’s already said his goodbyes etc and this would be quite a big move for him I can see why he’s not happy at all. Even their fans are wanting the club to let him go, you can see them saying the club is betraying the player
I think he knew because he was taking his captains armband off before the ref had got the cards out of his pocket
They don’t in all honesty, but then you would be wondering for the rest of your life why he turned us down after he had done a huge splurge telling us he can’t wait to start for us.
Still doesn’t mean you have to gob on off social media. I know you’re addicted to the thing, we all are to a much lesser extent, but every story doesn’t need to be posted online to keep dullards happy .
Absolutely. Just making the point new owners are not committed to the words of previous ones, only contractual commitments. Thankfully.
I think the players agent has been a bit trigger happy throughout. We’ve said nowt about him have we?
Perhaps. Said agent, if he was any good, may well have got a contractual commitment to a release clause. I dont really see why the new owners should feel obliged to honour that promise and release a 20 goal a season man for peanuts who is under contract.
I think as we’ll see, Caen changing their word won’t have a good outcome for Caen. It’s not wise or fair.
There is a way to get what you want in football, and in my opinion this isnt it. It is only my opinion of course. He and his agent clearly see it differently. If he joins and gives his all he will have my support, but there will be a nagging doubt on behaviour if there is another move he wants in 2 years and doesnt get what he wants.
I agree with points tbf mate but I think it’s a bit of a unique situation. What’s the alternative for him? Play another season in the 2nd division of France at the end of which he’ll be 31 and likely not of interest to anyone like us, especially if he can’t score similar goals to what he has last few seasons.
