The names linked are causing unrest simply because it looks like they’re prioritising the young loan before they get their experienced permanent

im not happy but devils advocate here, its not up to the club who we get “linked” to. Its hardly a joke.

the links aren’t made up it’s because the club are interested in signing them. They’re focussing on the wrong signing
How the **** do you know we’re only focusing on the loan signing like?!? 5 hours ago nobody knew about Scarlett. We’d been linked with Mendy all summer.
It’s absolute nonsense to surmise this as “proof” we are only after the loan signing at the moment.
If this is the 2nd striker but they are made available first is it in the clubs control? They may well be making errors but the order doesn’t matter in a way, other than some fans pissing the bed without knowing the full picture.

You don't know that though. We keep things under wraps very well..look at Poveda wasn't even linked until 24hrs before signing
It’s only came out because it’s leaked from spurs side. Then followed up on by fishpaste. We could have some people lined up that isn’t getting out till very close before like Browne
I heard about Browne coming up a week or two before hand and then bronzebummer heard the day or two before that he had signed and teased it.

Signing Poveda was also proof that we prioritised a third choice winger over a striker I guess?

If scarlett does come he will get my full support, whether i agree or not with the signing. The 2 things hes got going for him is hes a good finisher (i know some will point to his loan record but he is a clean striker of the ball when shooting) and hes good at pressing

Let’s be realistic here rather than sarcastic comments over somebodies opinion.
We needed/need other positions (poveda is absolutely not going to be 3rd choice)
The club think they need two strikers. One young loan and one experienced permanent. They know, we know, everyone knows the experienced permanent is the most important signing the football club will need this summer.
In fact striker is the only position we are absolutely desperate for. So the fact the majority of the striker links are youth players show to me that it’s worrying and we may not be in for an experienced one at the moment
From what I’ve heard aswell, all eggs were in the Mendy basket for that
