Theres no way tim would move his family over here as well as his two assistants and their families
If he wasnt given assurances

He was probably buttered up and lied to like we are with the Turkey trips. Acun is great at buttering up. Tim wouldn't know he'd come here then immediately 3 of our best players leave. For whatever reasons and excuses they want to say

I'm impressed by your knowledge of what goes on behind closed doors. I agree it must have bene a bolt from the blue when Philogene and Greaves were sold.

If you are so ITK, have you considered setting up a private mailing list?

Whatever,

Liam leaves.

Tim joins.

Tufan, Greaves and Philogene leave. We're yet to replace them. It's not difficult to add 2 + 2 together...

Before retirement do players really have a home? They move from place to place all over the country or further afield in Europe. Money is a big incentive. Moore’s wife is based in Sheffield which is the reason he gave for choosing Sheffield United over us. It didn’t seem to worry him when he signed for Ipswich.
It can be a very lonely place life as a professional footballer. Constantly moving every 2 or 3 years, a certain ex city player still in the region has personally told me what's it can be like and having a serious lack of real friends is hard. So no wonder some wish to stay closer to home.

Not backing Tim? I don't see it.

If we don't sign anyone before Bristol City. yes, I would agree as they're throwing the first 4 games away.

But look at what the club have done, tried to do or are close to doing.

Giles - who knows.
Drameh - won't be low wages
Mehlam - just under 1 million.
Moore - rumoured 2.5 mil fee
Assante - 1.5-2.5 mil fee
Zambrano - 2-4 mil fee
Every winger we're linked with on a perm seems to be around 2.5 mil
Hughes - 4-5 mil
McKenna - 20k wages?

Based on nothing it feels like we're spending approx 10 mil on the 4-5 permanents and then 4-5 loans. Sounds like backing to me. It feels to me like we have a set budget and we have to be balance and cautious in our approach and not through money at players to convince them

Also, when have we stopped at the number of players we've said we're after under Acun? Never, so I expect a few more on top of that.

They could always retire and work a 9-5

I read a story recently, an ex pro footballer who retired recently & is working as a brick layer on building sites, he says he was bored & missed the boys banter.
I think he played for Leicester & may have won the prem league title with them (not sure on the last bit)

Was he skint, or just bored? Either way, fair play.

His family aren’t coming until November.

He could be gone by then.
I was assistant at Donny (RL) to an aussie guy, we were sacked 2 weeks before his wife and kids arrived from Sydney. Was a horrible time. He had a 6 month notice clause on his house so they just spent half a year in Doncaster 'enjoying' the experience. He loved Donny weirdly. I was able to get another job easily at Featherstone but he lost a years wages plus paid rent on a house for nothing. We didnt even get the money Doncaster owed us along with the players wages as the club went bust and re-formed.

This is the horrible side to being a Manager/Player, you can lose your job at any time and have to keep uprooting your family. And another indiciation why Assante would have likely chose Coventry over us.
