I'm reading Harry Kane getting some stick for a poor performance v Serbia. Well try giving him a pass now and then instead of using the wings all the time which usually went nowhere but one goal!...and this sideways,backwards passing drives me bloody nuts!...but I guess todays managers love to watch it!
Thought he played quite well under the circumstances, especially considering the lack of service and the fact England were so passive in the second half.
He won a lot of fouls to ease pressure, held the ball up well, was a focal point for goal kicks and winning headers high up the pitch, harried (no pun intended) defenders and did his best to get into goalscoring positions or create space for others. It's not like he wasn't trying. There's only so much you can do when Southgate's set-up has you isolated and with everyone else treating the ball like a hot potato!
