Jonny Evans has signed a one-year extension at Old Trafford. This will mean that he's eligible for the state pension when it expires. I think it's actually quite a sensible signing, despite them being linked with every other centre-half. If they bring in de Ligt and Branthwaite on top, then you'd assume that someone else is leaving. Lindelof, Maguire and Martinez plus those three would be too much.
Noticing the French football shirt with the cockrell on it makes me wonder......who was the first to apply the cockrell to their football shirts? Tottenham Hotspur or the French National team (or anyone else!)/
I think that between us and France they did it first, but it's hard to tell conclusively. We introduced it for the 1921 FA Cup Final and they appear to have done it a couple of years earlier. I can't find a picture of their national team wearing it before 1924, though. They started with some weird dual ring thing in 1904, then had nothing for a while.
One up to you PNP.In all the books I've read about Spurs your comments are the first I've seen of this "small" item. Thank you.I'm surprised this has never come up before....or has it?
p.s. I think it's a story on it's own.Who suggested it and why? Where was it made? Were there any other suggestions?Maybe we will never know.....or care?
Enzo Fernandez has apologised for being a massive racist using Comic Sans, a ludicrous meme typeface. I don't know why he's getting so much stick, anyway. He's only trying to fit in at his club. Proper Chels.
I'll give him somewhat of a pass as Comic Sans is one of the fonts preferable to people with autism, as opposed to the usual ones like Arial, Verdana or Tahoma
Man Utd decided not to pay for their staff to attend the FA Cup final, nor throw a party to celebrate it. Bruno Fernandes was appalled and offered to pay for it all himself. The club refused his offer.
Enzo Fernandez has had a busy week, going from racist chants to now being found guilty of running a red light while driving without insurance. Perfect fit for Chelsea, you can see why they were willing to part with £100m for him.
What I took from this is just how expensive car insurance is now. Even a £100M PL footballer can’t afford it
