Feel like people are constantly talking themselves into believing something they were against previously, based on a few internet videos then if it turns out we aren’t getting them nobody was apparently bothered anyway :emoticon-0110-tongu

The problem with these videos is that anyone can source enough footage to make someone look like a world beater in a 5 minute video.

Just human nature mate. We gravitate to the information that fits our underlying thoughts.
Some will want a positive spin some will want a negative spin.
Really difficult to be totally objective.

When clubs say they follow the data for managers transfers etc its a really difficult thing to do
Sometimes you have to go against you're gut feelings and people struggle with this. Especially people at the top with big ego's.

:emoticon-0140-rofl: Seriously what does what he looks like have to do with anything
I'm just coming upto my 70th Birthday this month and have supported Hull City well over 50yrs and in my view he's one of the best we've had. I was surprised that they let him go because the local reports on the partnership seemed great.
It is slow build up play which can be a right piss off but when it clicked it clicked. The one touch football was a joy to watch and it seemed to be coming together at the end of the season, few more games we'd have made the play offs.
He is a Legend at City as a player so we was wondering how he was as a Manager and he did do pretty well. If he gets the right players to play his style of football then you'll be in for a treat.
I like this and thanks for your observations. Makes me feel better.

Bob was asked directly:

Who wants to bring in Gus....LR or MC?

And he answered:

MC

Seems pretty open and shut what he is saying. Marti Cifuentes wants us to bring in Gus Poyet as DoF. Does it seem backwards and nonsensical? Yes.

It is clear AFTER he was asked to clarify it. Thanks for your help anyway. It’s very much appreciated.

It will be such a poor appointment and he wot last the season! If he was still at hull we wouldn't be looking at him, another free and cheap options and someone who wont move here

wont work

Actually starting to feel a bit sorry for Rosenior if he gets it.
He's a young lad and will need all the support he can get but no escaping he was not at the head of the list of preferred candidates.
If its him I hope everyone gets behind him and gives him time. Can't afford another Beale Dodds season
His style of football may take a while to bed in. Southampton fans were calling for Russell Martins head when we beat them 5-0 and look what happened.
Whoever we get deserves a chance, and folk need to remember how bad the second half of the season was. No easy fixes here. We need to build again. Sadly, judging by some posts I think he will get no real patience and it will be a case of highlighting the mistakes and ignoring the positives. God help him when he does press conferences and we have fans disecting everything and reading between the lines and getting it wrong.

Might work. Might not matter, we haven't hired him yet.

Not sure why you're keen on an expensive coach. Spending money does not guarantee success.

I'm sure others may know, and don't shoot the messenger, but the Jansen talks ended because once again, the sticking block was of course.... backroom staff. Oddly Still was given the green light to bring people in, however Jansen wasnt. Having that stipulation in the vacancy is only going to make a smaller net to when looking for a coach.

Inflexibility does not equate to sustainability and they need to learn very quickly that a model has to adapt to move forward

He will either need to change his style of football or we will need to invest in players to match his usual style.

I hope the bloke realises if he says we need a CDM it will likely be a 17 year old from the French second division. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Madness if true, especially to change it for Still but not others. Basically saying to any other candidate we don't want you as much as we did Still.

Again if true I have no idea and just commenting in what you have said!

How do you know this ? IF it’s true, I’m sorry but Speakman has to be taken out of this because of a conflict of interest or the board deserve all of the **** they get

Isn’t Steve Cooper who you suggested to get a free option? Was Tony Mowbray a free option? Was Alex Neil a free option?

Instead of throwing your toys out the pram and stamping your feet, get behind whoever comes in
