After the melodrama with the airborne brown snake I've been on high alert.

Once again I soiled myself when I found what looked like a tiger snake (nasty ****ers) slithering through my garden. Grabbed my (pretty blunt) axe and went to town on it when I was done I realised I'd chopped/bludgeoned a blue tongue lizard to a pulp.

Best part of it is, those lizards are pretty friendly with humans and they keep snake populations low by eating their eggs.

I think I need to move back to the ****ing city.
Get at least one brown a year in my back yard. Pretty deadly with my tree loppers i am

Just nipped out because we had a Northern Lights alert, I think we missed them at their peak but could still see them. First time ever for me. Top photo is my wife's from our front door, bottom is someone who lives a few streets away. Pretty cool.

Off to the Pier-to-Pier. Getting the bus down. Saw a runner heading to the bus stop. Thought someone to have a crack on with as I walk to the beach. Bloke sucks behind the bus shelter (next to the park so very overgrown) and the time he’s taken I can only assume it was for a Tom tit. Out he pops in his green Saudi top. Dirty mag bassa!

Walking the dog today and found an almost intact large homemade chocolate cake on the steps by the library, no possible culprit in sight. Struck as a bit odd.

Also saw a goldfinch which might not be unusual to some but the only other one I've seen was stone dead outside my front door, which was sad.

How do you upload pics? Walking up the c2c route towards Stanley nothing for miles and someone was walking down with a suitcase. I says mate there's no airports round here and he just laughed.
