I wouldn't be sending too many players out given our injury list.

Pritchard obviously has to go (or at least be banished from the club if he doesn't geta transfer)
Bennette looks like he's away
I'd keep Matete as we only have Ekwah and Neil as it stands. Evans seems to have disappeared
Triantis - maybe, but prefer to keep him and get him playing every week in u21s

CDM just seems a no-brainer. Then again it felt like a no-brainer in the summer AND in the Jan window last year...

i think if we get a cdm hell go out on loan if we don't he'll have to stay

Pritchard's gone.....I'd keep the others...I think they'd be better in and around the squad.

Agreed, was surprised we didnt get one in the summer, think its turned out to be a problem for us this season. Ekwah for one has had issues by having to fill in there.

We must have identified a target or two by now, surely.

I'd even take a young specialist in that position at this point. We don't need another Neil, Bellingham or Ekwah who's still finding out where their best position is. Although I think Neil will end up as a DM deep lying playmaker in the future.
 
I really liked the midfield 3 of the weekend with Neil at the base and Ekwah and Jobe in front. Still would like a CDM if anything as a sub option to bring on to steady the ship. But I wouldn't be in a rush to take Neil out of there. Its imperative anybody who does go in there is better than Neil is at recycling possession. Which I think will be hard to find. The likes of Mvila would be better defensively but likely slow us down quite a bit

It is a tough one, but a good problem to have. Personally Id like to see ekwah and neil running off a cdm. Rotation of Ekwah/Neil with Jobe. Against teams we're struggling to breakdown Id sacrifice probably ekwah and have ba/roberts/clarke behind a striker with Neil and a CDM behind. Even go two up front if desperate.

Whilst I agree with you, we don't generally sign players ready to go straight into the team. Which is the bugbare of the majority of us. We are crying out for top end championship experienced players.

One of my mates suggested McConnell from Liverpool who was in our academy
